Hey all - I've been a CAG for quite awhile, so please indulge me for just a moment.

Recently, a screenplay I wrote won a contest and was then optioned by Amazon Studios. To test the market, they decided to turn it into a graphic novel before moving ahead with the film. Even though it's different my screenplay, it has me pretty excited! It's written by Ron Marz (if you're into comics, you probably know him) and drawn by Matthew Dow Smith who has done a bunch including the Doctor Who comics,

So, that brings me to the free part - if you download the comic for free from Amazon, there is a survey you can take about the comic to get a free $5 Amazon Gift card. It's on the last page of the comic.

The comic is pretty cool, I'm a sucker for the 'Mysterious Stranger' and I hope you play that angle like a cheap fiddle. Can't wait to see more of this, in any form.

I couldn't get past the second page the first time I read. I was using chrome then tried the link on firefox and was able to read it with no problem. Could have been a coincidence though.
 
Thanks OP! Loved the background setting for the comic. Not many supernatural movies centered around the civil war era so this would be an interesting movie if done right.

Oh wow - I thought I would let you guys know, Blackburn Burrow is currently #1 in the Kindle Store list of Top 100 free comics/graphic novels! That's amazing! I'm sure CAG has a lot to do with it!

I'm glad some of you are enjoying the comic - the studio really does listen to what you say in reviews and that survey.

Way to go! I really liked the comic, and it would be incredible if this were made into a film. :D
 
OK, that was a lot better than I thought it'd be. Now I'm off to tell everyone else they should check it out. Congrats on having it optioned!
