This is a pretty neat open source controller that will work with any device that supports a bluetooth connection, but the main audience is those who use emulators on mobile devices. It's already fully funded, so it's more of a pre-order at this point, but they can always use more help. These are the same guys that made the pandora handheld and the first icontrolpad.
 
I have the first iControlPad and it doesn't make me want to invest in the second one. If you aren't willing to jailbreak it's of limited use. Many games map poorly to the controls with stuff like actions mapping to the start button and stuff like that. On top of that the construction isn't too great, especially the arm piece that holds your iPhone. It also makes for a top heavy device since the control pad was much less than the iPhone. Also the "shoulder buttons" are actually on the bottom and difficult to use.
