Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 - $20 at Amazon

Is this game as difficult as the first? Man, it was pretty brutal, especially towards the end. Also, screw those escort stages.
 
Great game. Not as good as the first story wise, but made a bunch of gameplay improvements.

IMO, it was easier than the first. Especially the beginning. Final battle was a bit difficult, and you really had to choose your skills well. Although this kind if just meant abusing long range demon skills like Evil Wave and Chaos Wave.
 
Yeah, neither game is balanced very well. Overclocked remedied this with some rebalancing and even added an "easy" mode for those who want to just enjoy it.
 
Really good deal, I've been waiting on a sub-$20 price drop on this for a while. Thanks for posting! I picked it up.
 
Now that we've all bought it, cue the announcement for the enhanced 3ds version with easy mode. :)

I too found the first game way frustrating. The escort missions, as mentioned, made me punch myself in the crotch repeatedly. Still, one of my favorite games of all time. Still prefer the easy mode tho.

2nd one was sort of hard the first playthough.... VERY easy on the 2nd + playthough (besides sub bosses where the 3rd walkthough they were a cakewalk..

i buy it again at 10.... dont feel like spending another 60 hours in the game just to get to the final 2 bosses i never beat

I think it was harder, and I didn't enjoy the story as much.

Still a very good SRPG.

I wouldn't go that far, yet.

So far it seems to go out of stock on Amazon for awhile then some more come in, but then disappears again.
 
Yeah, Atlus is generally good about keeping Shin Megami Tensei games well in stock for awhile these days. Like you can still get most of the PS2 SMTs (except for the two Devil Summoners) for new for around $20 now.

That means it is out of print. Right now it is just whatever is left with distributors

i dont think the game ever went out of print at 29.99 so dont hold your breathe

holding out this is one of those 9.99 games day after thanksgiving

like i said before i had it and beat it all besides 2 final bosses took around 60 maybe 70 hours and really dont want to do it again ..... like JOKER 2 AHHHH why did i buy Joker 2 again
