Not bad but I'll do you one better. I pre-ordered Halo 4 from Best Buy for $65 including tax. Sold both pre-order bonuses separately for $37 total. Will get the $20 cert in a month or so. Then, sold the game today sealed for $60. I made $117 total. Even after the ebay, paypal and shipping fees, I'll still get at least a $35 profit.

I pre-ordered the hardened edition of Black Ops 2 for $88 including tax and from the looks of it on ebay, can get anywhere from $100-$150 plus I'll also get the $20 cert from Best Buy.

After that is Far Cry 3 which I already pre-ordered at Best Buy. I'll sell the pre-order DLC but I'll try out the game despite the fact that I hate FPS but the game looks great and I want to see if I can get into it. Worse case scenario is that I'll break even.

Overall though including selling off DLC codes, I can actually make a solid profit. Never realized how much those DLC codes are worth on ebay. Cant believe that people actually pay so much for a damn DLC code. Oh well, better for me.

That's pretty great. Its amazing to me how much people will pay for the DLC codes here...its just armor skins people! I did pay 100 MSP for the Oceanic Armor skin but I still cant believe some of the prices for these. FOTUS armor has been selling for over $100 on eBay. $100 for VIRTUAL CLOTHES?!?!? Insanity...

eBay is in it to make money so they really dont go after people on their own -- they only do it when someone reports the auction to them which is when they have to manually review the auction

it's funny how sellers don't understand supply vs. demand. Some codes are getting unloaded for the Walmart Ocean DLC at $8 a pop. lol. i have patience and sold mine for the original listed price i put it up at the day i redeemed the code - i just waited a few days and didn't budge. some sellers have "seller anxiety" and need to unload their goods as if their customer is going to be the very last sale of that specific item

Now playing:

:ps4: Last of Us: Remastered
:ps3: God of War: Ascension

:360: Gears of War 3

Still no codes at all from Amazon--they're currently claiming that they never offered the Emblems...? Of course I didn't grab a screen cap :/

Some info for you guys.

1. This is important and not a lot of people know this. eBay employees can read your personal messages with the click of a mouse. So if you think you are slick by saying in your listing that you will mail a piece of paper with the code on it, and then go ahead and message someone the code, then you are going to get caught if they look into you. I know this for a fact.

2. You are never 100% safe selling DLC on eBay. There is no possible way to prove to eBay that your code was legit once it has been used and any buyer at any time can complain that it doesn't work. You can provide all the tracking or list it in any way you want, and that won't change this fact.

3. eBay is the least compassionate and least understanding company ever. Don't think you can reason with them in any way, shape, or form. They don't care about you, and they will screw over innocent sellers without thinking twice if it benefits them in any way. You can follow their policy 100% to an a 'T' and if the gaming company complains, they will remove your listing without a thought. A lot of removed listings are game developer employees going around marking auctions because they are angry and bitter that people are profiting off their stuff. eBay will always choose the side that benefits them over the other. Even if you are a 10 year seller with 100% feedback and 5.0 marks across the board. You are just a fly on a wall to them and if you get banned from eBay they will treat you like trash. They won't answer your emails and they will essentially tell you to **** off if you call their customer service.

So in short, yes, selling your DLC is a good way to get a percentage of all your game purchases, but you are playing with fire whether you follow the rules perfectly or not. You are basically dealing with the mafia. You can do everything the mafia asks, but at any point in time they can change the rules on you and have you scrambling leaving you totally ****ed.

What if they openly admit to redeeming the code in eBay messaging? I'm a first time eBay seller, and I just sold my FOTUS armor to someone. Can this prevent them from winning a SNAD case if they do make an SNAD case

Potentially, but there is a good chance their "specialists" will not want to put in the time to adequately check something like messages. A few months ago I would say unlikely, but eBay "supposedly" adopted a stronger seller-protection policy now. But something tells me it is all placating and BS anyway.

There basically is no sure-fire way to sell DLC on eBay without any risk whatsoever. Just follow the rules the best you can and hope game developers aren't out marking listings because of greed/jealousy/bitterness or rival sellers aren't doing the same and hope buyers don't lie to rip you off. That's all you can really do, trust me.

Well I called today about why the funds were still pending and he looked up the messages between me and the buyer for some reason then he said that my account is fine and that I should contact PayPal about my funds being pending still, then I called PayPal and they just said since I just opened my account I had verified my email yet so I was good to go then. I mean, idk if who I talked to on the phone at eBay but I know he was able to look at the messages

Best Buy sent me both codes 1 day after emailing them. They are pretty efficient with missing pre-order codes.

All new eBay seller accounts make you wait a couple weeks for your funds to be available or after the buyer gives you a positive feedback. It's some stupid asinine rule for protection against fraud or something.

Also, one last random tip. Don't believe eBay's messages about them saying "We are not monitoring your account" because they are. If you ever get on their radar, they will monitor your account closely. They will send you unprompted messages telling you they aren't, but that is akin to you calling a detective after a murder when you aren't even a suspect and telling him that you didn't commit the murder so don't bother to question me.

I know for a fact they monitor accounts that they have on their "radar". Pretty much once you've had a listing removed or have been reported by someone, you are on their radar.

Its 3 map packs with 3 maps in each pack

Halo 4 War Games Map Pass
Content includes “Crimson, Majestic & Castle Map Packs” plus 2 in-game helmets and an emblem at a special value.

Crimson, set to launch in December, includes Wreckage, Harvest and Shatter maps. Majestic includes Landfall, Monolith and Skyline, and is set to launch in February. Castle has Daybreak, Outcast and Perdition, set for April.

I had couple hundred MS pts that were about to expire (got them from Xbox Rewards last year http://www.cheapassg...ad.php?t=292253 ) so I went ahead and bought the pass for 2000 pts. I'll get back 100 pts from Xbox Rewards for spending 1500+ pts on Halo content so its basically 1900 pts which isn't too bad plus you get more points for playing online: http://rewards.xbox.com/halo-4/

Preordered the LE from Amazon and got the cool CIO armor with Web skin. A buddy hooked me up with his 7 codes from Gamestop order. All of the armor can be unlocked but the preorder skins seem to be unique, for now. Still looking to get the Best Buy, Walmart, and Microsoft Store skins. I do have an extra Bulletproof Emblem & Halo 4 Longbow Premium Dashboard Theme to trade for an armor skin.

For what its worth, I made a fuss about this to them and I eventually got them to convert that formerly useless $20 credit toward game capture into just a regular $20 credit so I could use it for something I actually wanted. It was funny how they pretended not to know about the emblems but their reps knew the exact names of the emblems.
