I wonder if the buy one get one 40% off deal will stack w/ the $10 price tag on the NFS the run?
NFS sale is the weekend before this doorbuster sale
Power A Controllers, all of them? It would be nice to get an Air Flo for $10.
Yea, the ad just shows various ones but it is for all. It doesn't give a direct % off, so its going to vary by each one but will fall into the price points given.
Halo 4 is the real deal behind this. I see what you did there TRU... well played.
Yeah, would be nice to know if they're going to do something similar the following week with Black Ops. That would work for me.

Will this deal work for Halo 4 even though it comes out on the 6th? (the 20$ gift card). And is there an official page where this deal is shown like on the toys r us site?

Yes, should be any game priced $59.99 and the ad won't be up on the website probably until the Thursday before the sale actually starts.
so how do these doorbusters work, also can we buy the stuff now and have them price match it during the sale?
Some of the doorbusters last Friday and Saturday, and the other ones are from a certain time Friday, until Saturday. You can do a price match, but if you are going to buy a game, do not use the gift card, just keep it until Friday to switch it to $20.
Would Best Buy price match this? Or do they not do gift card deals?
Was just about to ask this very thing.
Best Buy does not match gift cards or percentages, IIRC. Only advertised prices.
Meant at TRU. I'm wondering if the $20 doorbuster gc works with the $40 weekly promotion.

hmm... i really want Halo 4, but I REALLY wish this deal was at Best Buy or Amazon or anywhere but TRU. I hate TRU, been there three times for games and have had only HORRIBLE experiences with them, surprised they're still in business honestly.
TRU's still trying to get rid of those Legendary Trigger Happys, huh?
Every store I've been to just has a shit-ton of those things. It's comical.

Makes more sense that they are bumping the $10 GC for one game up to $20. Otherwise why wouldn't you get 2 x ($20 GC) for each of these + a $40 GC. That would be a take home of $120 +tax for 2 new games + $80 GC. Somehow my reality check says no to what you are thinking. Then again maybe Ron Paul or Ralph Nader can get enough write in votes tomorrow. :)

I also got the email, but didn't see anything about the video games. Are doorbusters usually something where there will be something hanging in the store about it or do they need to be asked about? I'm picking up Halo 4 regardless tomorrow, but the $20 gift card would be nice.

If you click the ad in your email, it will bring you to the ad website, the video game and 20% coupon are all on the same page.

Thanks! For some reason when the email first came earlier that page didn't come up. It only had the weekly ad and the Toy Book as an option. Just checked again and it's up now. Must have added it after I tried to access it.

Neither of the coupons in the ad will work on video games. All of the coupons now pretty much exclude video games. Except the rewards coupons.

Thinking of just getting Borderlands 2, the only decent game I haven't purchased. So $65-$40 (gift card I got for buying 2 Halo 4 games) would make it $25, then I get back a $20 gift card..sweet!

So are you guys confirming the offer mentioned in the OP? I have the email but see nothing about the deal in the email or on the site when i click the ad link in the email.

Even if the coupon itself doesn't say anywhere that it excludes video games?

The deal is confirmed, it should be in their online ad on the website.

Okay... so obviously someone needs to go in and tell us if we can actually use the 20% offf coupon and get Halo 4 for $48 and get a $20 GC with it... who wants to volunteer?

I'm fairly certain you can't use the coupons on the video games. The coupon says on the doorbuster special offers and that's just the first half of the page not the video games below it. Same with the back page of the ad

The coupon on the front page is for the "bonus pass" items. You see all the red square boxes. Yea, its only for those items. Or another way to look at it, see the box in the bottom left corner of the items for sale? Those are what you can use that coupon on.

Got it. Oh well.

Lol. I just got this mental picture of a couple CAGs huddled outside of a Toys R Us, playing rock, paper, scissors.

was reading the ad closer and noticed that it says one 20 dollar promo gift card per customer which basically means your not gonna get the 20 on top of the 40 if u buy 2 games or whatever, that is even if they are still honoring the deal from earlier this week when if you bought 2 games you got a 40 dollar gift card, just thought id let ppl know before they go thinking they r gonna get a 20 dollar card on top of the 40 or visa versa
