Hey all,

Not sure where to post this issue but I have sold on Gylde before and this is an issue that is more prominent than ever.

I am trying to sell some games due to needing money but the price I list It for through the "sell this game" bar on the home page is A LOT LOWER than the price Glyde would sell it so it's not adding up.

As an example I have is an unopened LA NOIRE that I am trying to sell as I have no time to play it and if you go to Glyde and want to buy it, you would see it is at a price of $37 about as of this posts date. HOWEVER if you want to SELL it new on Glyde it says you have to sell it at $9.50.

I have a serious issue with this due to how it's essentially ripping both the buyer and seller off at THE SAME TIME! I have to give them 12% commission AND bubble mailer which would be fine, but they AREN'T SELLING IT AT that price! I would make $7 while they would run off with $30 ($37-7) and the buyer is out that $28 as well. As mentioned, this is pretty much illegal unless I am missing something and if I am, OR there is a way to fix this please, PLEASE tell me.

I can't stand Glyde doing this as it seems they are making BOATLOADS off this as many people are using their services. It's seemingly illegal.....I wouldn't mind selling for $9.50 if the buyer pays as much.

Someone please make sense to me? I was fine before with Glyde but haven't used them lately due to this issue.

Thanks a lot though!

Not sure about Glyde, but Gamestop is selling LA Noire, new, for $19.99, and the Complete Edition, new, for $29.99. So $37 is a rip off.

You might be better off listing it on Craigslist, Here on CAG, or just trading them in to Gamestop or Best Buy.

Well, they don't say you have to sell it at a price. You can set the price to whatever you want. When listing they offer the market price as a guide.
However, if the only available copy is listed for above market price, that's the price that will be shown to potential buyers.

While that is true it isn't actually going to fix it. Glyde doesn't let you go to far above the market value, (only a few dollars) so it is upsetting me a bit. I understand $37 for LA Noire is too much, $10 is really its value today, but they are showing that it as $37 if you want it new. I am only asking about why they don't match for both users (seller/buyer).

I posted a calmer post on their Facebook page yet apparently they deleted it. I am sketched out because it seems to be a problem they know about it but they wont fi it. The example game I used was LA Noire and the PS3 price changed while the 360 didn't and saw it get listed on the main page twice last night, seems a more popular game.

I am worried if they ignore this....I actually like Glyde but this is upsetting. Then again it makes sense what was mentioned about maybe it is an old copy no one wanted to buy earlier that didn't change pricing when values dropped...will test out later.

Thanks for the responses, is making sense (kind of) with some added thought

Oh wow. I've always listed stuff at the market value, but knew you could go above it.
In that case, it should just that someone had the game listed at that price at some point but never adjusted the price.

If you said you attempted to list a copy of LA Noire for PS3, and that selling price changed, then attempted to list a copy of LA Noire for 360, and that selling price did not change, then I don't know.
The shouldn't be selling a game for more than the price someone has it listed for. Perhaps its a glitch, perhaps there's a small waiting period before the database gets updated, maybe just that game is glitched.
