If things hold the Republican party is going to have to take the Tea Party to the shed I think.

New Hampshire goes to Obama.

They called WI to Obama but all the results have him behind. The exit polling in Milwaukee and Madison must be really big for Obama.

Florida is looking good for Obama too. Up a tiny bit with 84% in, but most of the remaining is the counties around Miami.

Nah, they're gonna double down at least one more time. They're going to levy the same complaint about Romney that they had against McCain - that he was a moderate. Meanwhile, the party continues to lose its moderates, like Snowe and Lugar that they lost this cycle. From the House they can still grind the next 4 years to a near complete halt, passing nothing but anti-abortion measures and defunding ACA again.

The big fish is that Vermont is going to start single payer between 2014 and 2017, signaling the slow end to the entire industry in America. California and Montana may join by then. As single payer spreads through the states over the next decade or so, what remains of the Republican party will be destroyed for good. They'll become like the right wing in Europe - liberals that hate minorities.

Hopefully we can put together a seasteading fund as a consolation prize.

They just gave news that Minnesota is Obamas, making electoral votes at:

Obama: 157
Romney: 153

Update: CBS just called New Hampshire for Obama, which simplifies things. If Romney doesn’t hold on in Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina and win Ohio and Iowa or Colorado, he’s done.

Damn, thats gonna be tough.

I cannot believe that Desjarlais is doing so well. People in this state will vote for anything. Next time somebody should try getting their dog on the ballot.

I'm hoping that there's enough of a majority victory in the other battleground states where we don't have to deal with Hanging Chads, Part II.

Romney is currently leading in VA, and Obama is leading on OH. Florida is close, but Obama is barely leading.

Well there is a lot of votes left in Broward and Miami-Dade. I think he pulls ahead.

I'm watching CNN. They're a bit more conservative in calling things and seem better at breaking down things county by county with their touch screen map thing.

Cool web version of it here (click on states to get county maps):

Mo is so weird. Senate Dem and Dem Gov are going to win but Romney is going to take the Electoral votes.

WV is weird that way too. Dem governor, both senators are Dem, 2 of 3 house members are Dem, but they've gone Republican for president the past 4 times now.

Environmental stuff hurt Gore and Kerry, and Obama has that as well as there being a lot of racism there being one of the whitest (and poorest/lowest educated) states in the country.

I'm 100% shocked that books still exist in today's day and age. I thought they'd be out by now. They make up like 1% of today's entertainment and unless you're 60 or older, stray away from books and start emersing yourself with real entertainment.
