For their Black Friday festivities (on Saturday in Canada), Old Navy is giving away New Super Mario Bros. U with a purchase of $40 or more on Saturday November 24th. Stores will open at 7 am and they'll give out wristbands for people that lined up. Says it's one game per person, family or household for people 16 or older, but I don't think they really care.

Basically get NSMBU for $40 at Old Navy, plus you get some free clothes. Supplies are limited...

The good thing is that they'll just give the bracelets out early and then you can leave. The bad news is that you'll probably have to wait around for hours anyway. lol
if these lineups are true it's not worth it. Time is money and that's less than my wage.
Do you work at 7 am on a Saturday? Get paid more than $60 an hour?

If you have to line up 5-10 hours in advance and the game is worth $60, that's $6-12 per hour in savings via waiting. I think he means he would rather work 1-2 hours and buy the game.

FREE NEW SUPER MARIO

I've been to a few of these Old Navy giveaways and they do have long lines. We usually line up an hour before they open (like at 6 am) and we get our wristbands.
It specifically mentions this deal is US only on the site...
Where is this fine print?
You're looking at the American site.
I suspect he may be trying to dissuade others from lining up on Saturday. :)
If it's the american site, then why does nearly every other deal on the exact same page mention Canada?
Every other deal including this one.

I got there just before 6 am and there's like maybe a dozen people in line. People arriving at 7 am also got wristbands. At least the game is quite fun and I got a couple pair of jeans and two shirts.

There were probably about 150 people in line when the Dartmouth store opened at 7:00. They had 60 wristbands. I got the best hoodie ever, I'm honestly more excited about the hoodie than the game. :)
