The offer is for $150 statement credit for $599+ purchase at Dell, after syncing your AMEX.

(i) you must have an American Express Card that is synced with Twitter (see sync.AmericanExpress.com/twitter for more details on how to sync your Card);
(ii) you must tweet using #AmexDellOffer; https://twitter.com/AmericanExpress/favorites
(iii) you must receive an “@ reply” message from @amexsync stating that this offer has been added to your synced Card; AND
(iv) you must use your synced Card to make a purchase of $599 or more online at the listed merchant by 12/31/2012.

Once you have synced order 1 x $500gc, 1 x 100gc, 1 x $50 gc. http://www.dell.com/content/topics/...485850-KwGkYjsSEeKJbJpS-IhuZgVkS4_QRoJ3_0_0_0
Then, use 10% code: VJ7$295NPV28MN (This will take 10% off the $500gc only, and give you free overnight shipping)
So: $650 - $50 in coupon - $150 Amex statement credit = $450 out of pocket.

This would be much more useful if it occurred before BF. That time you can only do the 400+75 for 400 trick. After BF their prices are no longer appealing. The same XPS8500 changed from $610 from when I bought it to $800.

I agree that it would've been nicer if it was before BF, but there's no reason you have to use the giftcards now. I intend to hang on to mine until the next time they have a sale on UltraSharp monitors. Also, some people on "other" sites are planning on selling these giftcards at various sites: for example, you can sell $650 giftcard at cardpool.com for almost $550. That's a $100 profit for pretty minimal work.
