question about Metal Gear Essential collection

Am I right in thinking that the original PS1 MGS game in the MGS Essential collection is just a repackaged PS1 version? I already own the black label version, but PS1 games can't/won't run from my HDD modded PS2. I'd like to be able to install it to my HDD, but if it's just a repacked PS1 game and not a ported PS2 version, I won't waste my time.

Usage of emulator to emulate PS1 code on the PS2. While you are at PS2 but is in PS1 mode, Iso file generally show missing because of can’t getting access any of the PS2 ports because it load PS1 bios. And you don’t have to dumping the bios, PS2 ROM has the ps1 bios embedded on it. Ps2 program load from OSD and you need partition of HDD
