Cowboy the fuck up and get to work:

OP, you're in deep shit because you don't have any savings. You should have six months' worth of money set aside in savings to prevent problems like this, so you can find another job in semi-short order and not be in deep shit.

Go find some kind of job immediately, fast food, retail, manual labor job, something to put money in your pocket to cover bills. I'd also suggest selling/pawning items you can do without for a while, such as video games, movies, music, TV, other electronics.
Afternoon, OTT.

You mean I'm going to have to stare at this thread for another 2 months?!?!
Seems that way. We'll see how many mistake this thread for it's original inspiration.

Why hasn't that Krabbit guy been around?

Time to pack a lunch and head off to work.

Afternoon, 83!

I will see if I can't help move this along...with absolutely little to no input!

We can only hope it is mistaken for that thread, then maybe this thread will only last 3 weeks instead of a month!

I should have made a thread when I got laid off from my job a few years ago. But instead of doing that, I swallowed my pride, worked at a movie theater, went back to school, and did the temp thing. Now I am slowly working my way through my former high school.

Hooray Goals!

And hello, OTT! I think I'll stay around for a little bit this time. Assuming that is ok with everyone...or even a few people.

As in everything would be ridiculously tiny. Windows doesn't scale for the pixel density of the retina display. So everything is just much smaller. At least I presume that's the case.

Finally got around to watching The Dark Knight Rises and it wasn't as bad as I heard it was. I guess I didn't like that it was so focused on all of the emotional and story baggage leftover from the first two movies rather than being a new Batman story, which the Dark Knight didn't really suffer from since it was basically a new story. The best parts were watching the Pittsburgh Steelers get blown up and the
Robin reveal at the end that makes me wish that Nolan would do another movie with him.

I really didn't like the film. And kind of thought that it was boring.

I feel like all the cool kids are in this thread and I'm the outsider sitting at my own table during lunch. Perhaps I should muster up the courage and ask to join this table?

Welcome Back, CF!!!

Goals are good in moderation...like booze!
It's settled. I'm moving to PA.
Because Chip Kelly is leaving Oregon and gonna coach the Eagles?!?!

Welcome, btw!

Lest anyone think I like the move by the Eagles, I dont...they're going to lose games 63-59 week in, week out.

The defense stinks!
I don't think you can be more wrong, 83.
I hope so...I just have a bad feeling about this.

Maybe if he gets a good defensive coordinator like Lovie Smith, I'd be OK.

I hope the Max Payne Co-Op DLC is good. I really think the DLC to this game should have been a shit load of co-op stuff. Sections where Max and Passos team up could have been epic.

So this fall my sister-in-law informed me she got to hang out with Anthony Bourdain in a bar for the second fucking time (yes I am fucking jealous).

As it turns out, this time she made a brief appearance on his new show (as if I needed to be more jealous). As I grudge watched it last night -reveling in my envy and wanting so bad to hate it- I instead gritted my teeth through what is the best weekend guide to ATL I have ever seen.

In the a most bizarre ending he manages to get Alton Brown to go with him to the Clermont Lounge. For those uninitiated and/or unfamiliar with the Clermont, it's exactly like strip club would be if David Lynch ran one. A place where you are just as likely to get stabbed in the parking lot as you are to run into Bill Murray and Morgan Freeman.

My single complaint is that he opted for BBQ at Fatt Matt's instead of Thompson Bro's (which does get a shot-out fromm a local expert), he actually directly goes and justifies this in his casual eff' you kinda way.

As long as it's FL legal.

Incendiary rounds, and my local refuses to sign any NFA paperwork, even with LEO letters of rec' and voluntary mental eval. I assume you're talking about something you can't take to Penn.

Edit: If it's your porn collection no.

The defense stinks!
Cool, some sports talk. I'm interested how he will incorporate his offense to the NFL. I wonder if he'll still use those poster board playcalling cards. But I will say watching his gimmick offense was kinda annoying. I like my no huddle to be on the fly with the QB calling the shots. Not simply hurrying up to the line of scrimmage, then all looking over to the sidelines. On the bright side #83, you can already pencil in two wins against the Cowboys Monte Kiffin lead defense.

How about that Colin Kaepernick?

Tampa 2 still works. College Football is just filled with kids who don't know how to play the game. Cowboys defense is only a joke because they were grabbing people off the street the second half of the season. Church, Ratliff, Carter, Lee, and Scandrick all dealt with injuries that basically knocked them out for over half the season. Ware was hurt the second half of the season. If they stay healthy the Cowboys should win the division.
If the cowboys got Norv Turner they'd be set. Garret as the HC and OC is hurting you guys.
I believe Norv is going to the Browns. I do agree with you though. The offense they run is a solid offense, but Garrett is not great at running it. His play calling is subpar and his clock management is fucking terrible. I often feel like most of Tony Romo's problems are the result of Jason Garrett's play calling. The Detroit game they led 24-3 that they blew in 2011 is a great example of this. You have a guy playing with broken ribs and instead of just trying to run the ball in the second half you ask Romo to just sling it all over the yard. Icing his own kicker against the Cardinals was another substantial fuck up. I am not saying Romo is without fault, but I think Garrett could have minimized a lot of bad Romo by calling plays better and running the fucking ball with more consistency.

Nor: "Suck it, Rivers! I got Brandon Weeden!"

2 wins against the Cowboys is always a good season! Surprisingly, the buzz around here is 51%/49% in favor of the move. I expected that number to be way higher. When asked why, a majority of the respondents really wanted Jon Gruden.

I have to give Kaep credit, he showed up big time this weekend. I didn't like way that went sown with Smith, but that is some coaching by Harbaugh. I like that the 49ers are still in it (One of those teams I watched as a kid, so it's good to see them back), and I hope they beat the Falcons (Even though Matty Ice is a local kid).

Kaepernick still annoys me though...I think it's the Tats. All quaterbacks should look like Cam Newton in that Play 60 commercial.

1) The Kelly offense is not 'gimmicky.'
2) The HUNH is all about setting tempo, not just running fast. As long as they get to the line they can take all the time they need because the mismatches will reveal themselves. The huddle is an anachronism.
