Actually it kind of makes sense now why all the Best Buys went from many in stock near me, to absolutely zero. I didn't think people actually bought them up. But if true - what a waste.

Bought 1 of the 4 remaining TLS copies with the art book and went back a day later and they were all gone. Perfect timing I guess. Also picked up he ps3 CE for SCV for $20 as well.

So they'd rather destroy their product rather than sell them for cheaper? have they never heard of store clearance?
 
they didn't destroy them, and whatever employee said that was a dingus. they just sent them back to some warehouse somewhere.

Most likely they sell these games to GameStop for cheap and then GameStop sells these games as used. Seriously, that happens all the time especially with DS games.

I searched yesterday for The Last Story, and nothing came up for local Best Buys or Gamestops.
 
sometimes they do destroy games. I had a buddy who worked for blockbuster and they used to do it regularly. it was perfectly playable sometimes they got orders from hq to stop selling, carrying it for licensing or whatever reasons. employees could get fired for not destroying them. i know they destroyed a lot of stuff that sold to customers accounts. after X amount of time they destroyed them as they were store property/inventory and they could not be put back in they system as it constituted theft or something.


or maybe bestbuy said eff it and decided to cut their losses. or whoever ships the game didnt want it back and told them to wreck em
 
got a copy for the ps3 for 19.99 couple weeks ago, but I returned it to BB because there was a hugh gash on the corner. I wanted to exchange, but there were none available, but I did see they put the copy I've returned in the shelf with a price of 29.99.

The thing I hate about a lot of CE's is instead of giving them a premium case for Posterity (like Halo 2 or something) so many opt instead to put them in a flimsy cardboard box that gets mangled in handling and strangled by Best Buy security wrap. Even a plastic case would be a step up from cardboard. :roll:
 
I bought one when it was 19.99 and when I opened it the dvd making of the game was all scratched up real bad.
Anyone have that happen?
