Seems they are trying to get people to use up some of their points. They did a deal like this last month too. Some good items that are 5,039 pts. I saw are Spider-Man 3D and FFVII: Advent Children Collector's edition. I redeemed mine for Sports Champions 2 and Seven Psychopaths last month to get the 5,000 bonus points. Be sure to check the deals of the day sometimes they have point values that can put items over the 5,000. Tuesdays are always a music album and wednesdays are new release movies.

I did this last month. I used 6130 pts for 2 games shipped to me. This month they put another 5000 pts in there. This is the only way I would buy games directly from sonyrewards because prices are basically full retail. It's better to use the points normally to reimburse your sony credit card for purchases of sony products on sale at best buy or amazon. Just a warning...The points I used didn't expire for 1 or 2 more years. The free 5000 new points expire on 3/31/13.
 
Got the SWEETDEAL25 (2500 point code) but doesn't work on gift cards or PSN cards. Might just pickup a cheap game for 3000 points.
 
My offer last month and this month is for 2,500 bonus points.

And I'm still waiting on my bonus 2,500 points (although I got a $25 and $10 PSN codes, so I'm not entirely sure if those qualified or not).
 
I already got my 5000 from last month and correct the bonus points expire faster than they normally would but I'm just going to use the bonus points towards a Sony gift card.
