Best way to play imports?

Looking for the best/cheapest method of playing imports on my fat PS2. Swap magic? Mod chip? Buy a Japanese/debug PS2?

I use swap magic on my fat ps2. You might have to reset it a few times for the swap magic disc to work.

I believe there's a softmod way as well. Google is your friend.

Soft modded PS2 memory card man = ) used to own one before I gave it away. I'll PM you the details.

Swapping is a pain.  As Dnipro Cojiro mentioned, soft-modding a memory card is a great option.  I don't think those memory cards can play legitimate import discs, though, so keep that in mind.  As far as I know, only hard-modded or Japanese PS2s will play those.
