Has anyone had experience with the
HGST Travelstar H2IK5001672SP (0S02858) 500GB 7200 RPM 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive

or

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD5000BEKT 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

?

I'm looking for a good 500GB drive that will last for at least a few years. The Hitachi is currently cheaper, so I'd rather go for that if it's a good one.

I own numerous Scorpio Black drives (2 320GB, 2 500GB, 4 750GB) and none of them have ever failed. One of the 750GB drives has been in my PS3 for numerous months without any single issues.

It's a fast drive and backed by a 5 year warranty. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the drive. I'm probably going to get a 500 or 750 GB black then. Just waiting for a nice sale at newegg.

I have a 1 TB Scorpio Blue and it's been working flawlessly since I got it last year.
