so as i said, looking for really great ps3 exclusives

anything thats cross-plat, i usually jus p/u for 360, and i havent seen or heard
of anything lately thats made me wanna boot up the good ol' ps3

got UC3 for the story but was uninterested in m/p, and i was kinda disappointed by the TM reboot for similar reasons.
Havent tried Heavy Rain or AllStars yet, but hopefully soon

so basically im just kinda holding out for 'GoW: Asc' & 'Last of Us' at the moment... Or hanging it up til PS4 comes out

Any recommendations?
im sure theres gotta be something really awesome i had to have missed?

Heavy Rain, inFamous 1 and 2, Ratchet and Clank games, and Sly Cooper, in addition to Uncharted series are all excellent choices.

thx for the suggestions folks

on infamous 2, did they improve on the trophy glitches?

i loved part 1 to death, but i remember i got turned off of after i got glitched on the trophy for all the blast pcs
i never had any trophies glitch on infamous 1 or 2. you probably missed one.
This.

Also in inFamous 2, there is a power-up/ability to find the closest blast shard, regardless of distance to it, so finding all shards is much easier to do.

Heavy Rain is a game that everyone should experience. Multiple endings. Choices actually make a difference. It's nothing less than amazing.

If you enjoy RPG's then go ahead and grab Ni No Kuni. It's the first Japanese RPG that I've beaten since the PS2 era. It's that good.

NICE, I did not know that, I will have to pick that up then.
Demon's Souls
Valkayrie Chronicles
3D dot game heroes

A little surprised no one has mentioned in this thread yet:

Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza: Dead Souls.

I also recommend Valkyria Chronicles.

I'll echo Journey and LBP. I also quite enjoyed Heavy Rain.

I'd say Metal Gear Solid 4, but the story won't make a ton of sense without playing the previous entries in the franchise. Hell, even if you do, it's still a little insane. Very fun game though.

More of the same...God of War, Uncharted and Infamous. To a slightly lesser extent Ratchet and Clank.

Infamous 2 was also a pretty good upgrade graphically from the first.

Pretty much everything listed rocks (except Yakuza for me, but I know it has a good fanbase).

I would toss out GT5 as well, though only if you're big into cars/racing sims.

Journey should be experienced by everyone with a PS3 but I doubt it would tide you over to TLoU, its like a very short but really beautiful interactive story of sorts.

Well lets see:

Resistance 3
inFamous 1/2
Ratchet and Clank Future A Crack in Time
Heavy Rain
MGS4
Uncharted 2 if you haven't played it
Journey
Sound Shapes
Valkyria Chronicles
Killzone 3 (only for the MP)
Any of the PS2 HD collections (Sly, Ratchet, Jak, Ico etc.)
The Unfinished Swan
LittleBigPlanet 2 (1 is good too)
God of War Saga
3D Dot Game Heroes (if you like 2D Zelda

That should get you started:)

Also keep an eye out for upcoming titles-
The Last Of Us
Beyond : Two Souls
Tales of Xillia
Puppeteer
Rain

Just like the PS2, some interesting games are being released at the end of the cycle.

I know you may not have liked uncharted 3 but uncharted 2 is a far better game in terms of campaign. I thought it was a lot more fair and less frustrating. Also the 2nd game has far better build up and momentum (except for the last boss battle).

The 3rd one started off strong but got weaker and weaker as the game went on. The only part I really liked a lot was the boat level where everything gets all crazy and inverted. I also liked the trippy parts too. How the game opens up really excited me but it just falls flat from there. The story was good though/maybe even the best in the series. This was the most Indian Jones feeling of the 3. Overall, It was a weaker game IMO. I liked the additions to combat but the shooting mechanisms seemed broken to me, even after they patched it.

I strongly encourage you play GOW3, or the newest release once out. GOW3 had such crazy scale, you literally fight giant titans, massive gods, and characters that change combat styles, appearance, and aggressiveness as you dismember them with your weapons. I haven't payed an action combat game nearly as good as GOW3.

This puppeteer game looks very fun and unique and has a budget price of 39.99.
