Bah. I ordered Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 7 and a pack of batteries on the 28th and mine was cancelled, too.

That's it, I'm boycotting Nebraska.


That's right! Not just the Furniture Store, but I'm banning the ENTIRE state of Nebraska after this debacle!

I ordered Zelda OoT and Animal Crossing 3DS. I wanted to get over $50 for free shipping and figured that with everyone slamming em for Fire Emblem that I wouldn't even bother trying for that. I ordered on 3/31 at 8pm. $58 shipped. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Then the drama of this thread.

Created an account. Entered my order number. Nothing found. Bit the bullet and emailed them this morning, waiting for the inevitable cancel response.

How may we help you? Good morning. I was just wanting to get the status on my order. I signed up for an account to see but the order checker thingy found no order. I know you guys have been slammed so whenever you can get to me is fine. No hurry. Thanks.

I got my cancellation email about my order at 9:40am on Thursday, April 4. The charge was on my last credit-card statement. The refund has not yet posted to my credit card.
That pisses me off. How can you charge me before even verifying that you can fulfill the order? And then you've had 2 business days to make it right and you haven't? I'm really starting to get upset. It better get rectified soon.

No refund here yet either. Was going to call in the morning if I don't see it pending. Also went back and checked the status and the order is completely gone now. No zeroed out shell like before.

Order got cancelled, still no refund. If I don't get one within 7 days of the date they charged me I'm going to go to my bank and report theft.

Yeah I think I'll let the bank reverse the charges as well. I know if this happens enough it isn't a good thing for said company and would like nothing more than to see this one damaged by these actions.

They left the mispriced/oos items up for almost a week. They charged cards almost immediately. They cancelled/deleted orders without notice. or gave notice days after doing so. And they are taking their sweet time to refund funds to people they shouldn't have charged in the first place. Guess treating customers like this got them enough funds to open new locations like the one in Texas, personally would like to see them go out of business.

Just about end of business today, the 3rd business day that NFM (No F'ing Money) has kept my $53.99 since they said they wouldn't honor their end of the deal. 10th day since I placed the order and they took my money.

As a Nebraska resident, I can say that NFM is a pretty badass store with a nice electronics section. It saddens me that people abused their admittedly poor website/system and ruined this deal for so many others. People not getting their refunds makes me think that staff are going through each order and refunding them manually, so as not to have their system screw things up again.

Had I known this was going to happen, I would have driven down the street, bought a bunch of copies from the store, and sold them out to you guys.

Looks like I got my refund. It's a shame about Fire Emblem, though. Hopefully Best Buy will have a $15-20 sale in the near future.

My order went through OK and was able to pick them up by in-store pick up today. Sorry about the bad experiences that people had in this thread. Usually don't have trouble with them.

That's because you're physically near the store.

I think all the people complaining are outside of whatever range NFM distributes to.

NFM rep told me that the policy is: "unless you have bought from our physical store before, you cannot place an order online" thanks for saying that on the order page! ... (i remember getting my order canceled from them during the mario galaxy deal way back when..

Still no refund. Got the cancellation e-mail last week.

Sent them an e-mail asking for the refund.


Edit: Got a reply saying the credited the account on 4/3 and it should be back in my account by tomorrow or the next day as it sometimes takes 3-5 business days.

The weird thing is that my order still isn't cancelled nor did I receive any cancellation email. However, my ship date keeps slipping (it was 4/9 for a while, and today it just changed to 4/12). I don't know if this means they are still going to honor my order or if they are waiting til later to cancel and refund my cc...

Still think it's bad practice to charge any cc before shipping.

Not excusing them, but I'm sure NFM wasn't prepared for the SD & CAG effect. Just sayin... This happens enough on here that you would think people wouldn't immediately jump to the "this company is a scam" conclusion. They didn't solicit these orders, and again, likely were unprepared for them.

I'd agree with that. I don't think it was a scam. They're just a store that really shouldn't have online orders as they clearly don't have the capacity to handle them. And don't really want them if the line from the CS rep posted about them only honoring online orders from people who have shopped in-person in their stores are correct.

If that's the way they want things, just don't have an online store, or just allow orders with in-store pick up--or at the least make it clear you need an account set up in a physical store to order etc.

Sorry to bump this old thread but I just received shipping notification from UPS for my NFM order. I had ordered Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 7 and the filler audio cable (for free shipping). I still have never received a cancellation notice but I figured it was cancelled given the updates to this thread.

However, it looks like at least the cable and Mario Kart are shipping? Crazy.
