50% off Select Pre-Owned Games at GameStop, 4/8 to 4/28

Ceol_CAG

CAGiversary!
EDIT: Hello! Turns out there's a big fat full list that I didn't know about. Figures, since I have no clue what I'm doing, that I'd fudge it up. Apologies, all! All new titles that weren't previously listed are now in orange. Maximus was kind enough to take a picture of the flyer with the full list (Thank you!!!), so you can also take a gander there:
My store had fliers. I took one and scanned it.
Sorry about the creases.

http://oi45.tinypic.com/6jk1nn.jpg

Back says the offer is valid through 4/28/13 and it stacks with your PowerUp Rewards for an additional 10% after the 50% is taken off.
EDIT 2: I have learned how to edit titles to reflect the dates. Whee.

EDIT 3: Red is now orange, because it really was quite terrible looking.

This is actually my very first thread after much lurking and sparse posting here and there, so... yay. Quite glad to contribute after discovering a lot of fantastic deals from fellow CAGers. Let me know if I'm "doing it wrong", as they say on these strange internets.

GameStop's going to be doing a 50% off sale on certain pre-owned games starting this coming Monday, 4/8 and lasting until 4/28. Lots of crap, admittedly, but there're a few gems in there. And I have the full list!

Stores will be setting up "dump bins" for these titles, and from what I understand so far, they won't be marked as the 50% off price, but will ring up as half off the price on the sticker.

This deal works online! If you do "Pick Up @ Store," you will get the discounted price when you pick up the game.

And just for reference, since I'm not sure how well-known these acronyms are... KNR = Kinect Required, MVR = Move Required, MVC = Move Compatible, MP = Motion Plus.

Thanks for the list, there's a few games on this list I might be interested in!

Also, I laughed at this: Ninjabread Man (don't buy this, don't do it, DON'T DO IT)....especially because I bought that game for one of my friends as a joke one year for a part of their Christmas present, it's pretty terrible.

DanceDanceRevolution2 on the Wii is surprisingly good. One of the best console DDR releases, songlist wise.

Hmm, thanks OP. Guess I'll make a short list for the titles I would want. ^.^

I hoped for a PS2 one as well, but oh well. Haha

Also, I should mention I don't know if this deal is in stores only, or if it will also be online, but I'm looking into that. I'll update when I find out.

Would consider the above, though I'm not sure they're worth a trip to gamestop. Every time I've gone recently I've come back empty handed:whistle2:( In other news, a new gamestop just opened really close to where I live, so I might go just to see what's new

come on, people, this is pure garbage. don't waste your time or money.. this is cag, we have better games in our backlogs..

lair and haze are supposed to be two of the worst ps3 exclusives ever, i think ill finally find out for myself lol. than again i just beat bioshock infante and playing junk games after finishing that masterpiece might not be a good idea. i wonder if the birthday coupon stacks with this. oh and guys get bulletstorm, fun game !

Haze is 2.99 and Lair is 4.99 last time I checked. You can always hold it off. xD

Link's Crossbow for 22¢(PUR 10%)! Woop!:applause:

You can use the PS3 controller(motion control) to soar around in L.A.I.R.

with the birthday coupon, this 50% off promo and pur card lair will be 1.43 and haze will be 1.08 lol. with all of this credit i have ill take the chance. if anything i can return these turds within the week :D

For all those interested in picking up :360: Blazblue: Continuum Shift or :ps3: Blazblue: Calamity Trigger, don't. Pick up Continuum Shift Extend instead for the slight difference in price.

Haze at least had some interesting ideas, even if it was the game that sent FreeRadical to the developer graveyard. Also both games were launch titles and both studios closed after their release, just incase you were wondering why most studios avoid releasing launch titles.

Might be in for SingStar ABBA.

I've played LAIR for about an hour. Nothing really gripped me story or gameplay wise, but it made me wish someone would make a flying mounted combat game that was good. Nothing more than a failed experiment.

I thought Lair got better with the patch to use actual controls instead of six axis. At least that is what I heard.

Also, I would be in for infernal (for the achievements, the back cover even advertises it!) and probably el shaddai. Other then that, nothing, lol.

Blast Works for half off should be around $2. I could not recommend a game enough at that price. Its one of my favorite Wii titles ever, and at that price it's more then worth it.

For those wondering what kind of game is it? Think of R-Type or a side-scrolling shmup, and add in the sticky gameplay mechanic of Katamari. Pretty fun.
Might be in for SingStar ABBA.
I'm kinda grasping at straws here, but of what's in this sale, that's my most likely pickup, too. Only a few stores in my area seem to have it currently, not sure if I'll make it to one of those parts of town.

Might see if I can find a used Cursed Mountain with steelbook - not sure how likely that is.
this list is pure garbage, I thought there were gonna be some bigger AAA titles listed!
The list is mostly garbage. There are some actual hits/sleeper hits on the Wii list, although if one wanted those games, they'd most likely have them already (boom blox bash, elebits, zack & wiki, the conduit). Come to think of it, I actually don't have the conduit. Might add that to my list, not sure.

Lair became playable after they released a patch that did not force you to use the Sixaxis in the controller to fly. However still was pretty bad.

Haze isnt epic horrible. My only real gripe about it was the shitty AI. people complained about the short compaign before 5 hours was the norm

Lair is garbage with the six axis but didnt they patch it to allow for reg controls?

Haze wasnt a launch title if I remember correctly.

For $1 and change, I'm going to pick up Haze to finish. I have Kinect Adventures to return from a 50% bump anyway. Then I guess I'll see what else is $5 or less in the bin at the time.

While Lair is no masterpiece it is definitely worth the price of a cup of coffee. I enjoyed it enough to play through it three separate times (twice with Sixaxis once with analog.)

Haze is terrible.

Lair is not bad at all. It got way better after the controls patch. Lair takes full advantage of 7.1 sound, so if you have a nice setup it's well worth a few levels.

First off, thanks for this list. Crap or not you have done well for the community.

Things I might be interested in: (360)
Quake Wars, It's only $2.50
Stoked $2.50

Theres some decent PS3 and Wii games on there, but I don't own a PS3 and don't play the Wii anymore.
Hoping current used prices reflect what will happen Monday IE these games are really $2.50

it's a pretty fun, arcade like FPS (kinda like if you could move in time crisis, though a very weak comparison). The story is garbage, but I enjoyed the campain a lot, and at this price it's definitely worth it:applause:I might actually pick it up again, as I sold it and now regret the decision
