I'm in the market for a Vita. I was about to buy on Amazon Warehouse deals but it just went out of stock. Anyone know of any current or upcoming deals?

Wait for E3 for sure. Everyone is anticipating a price cut and I highly believe that it'll happen then; also, the Vita will probably be getting a ton of new games and content at E3.

I own a Vita right now and I'm waiting for some better games. Great hardware, terrible software at this point. I would wait if I were you. I know it's a very attractive system and one that you're highly ancipitating getting, but trust me when I say that it's not all that it's hyped up to be. Until better games and apps come out for it, it'll be a shell of what it could be. Wait, you'll thank me later.

There's already a bunch of exclusive and impressive games on the PSVita right now, especially Soul Sacrifice debutting next week. Just go for it, since you are in the market. If you are interested in a like-new white model, feel free to message me. There doesn't seem to be any retail deals until the summer, though.

i am currently sitting on 80 bucks amazon giftcard with an additional promo of 30 credit they gave me (doesn't count werehouse deals, only new items) gonna get 42 gc soon from trading in playstation all stars. so total 152 credit. hurry up e3, i need a price drop!

also does anyone know if vita allows multiple profiles. my buddy has plus and said i could use his psn to get the free games. but can i play them under my name?

One profile per system. Just buy PS Plus I promise it's worth the price :)
EDIT: If you really want to go that route....you CAN....but it's a huge pain: http://www.ign.com/wikis/ps-vita/How_to_Switch_PSN_Accounts_on_PlayStation_Vita

I've read some posts that said buying a Vita used is not a great idea because Sony will not honor any warranty claims. Is this true?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any company would honor a warranty if you bought an item seconded handed (aka used).

I think you're correct. I think the company would only honor a warranty new or refurbished unit.

This comes from the fact that if you need to send your Vita in, they require a copy of the original purchase receipt. So, when buying used from somewhere like AWD or cowboom you'd likely be fine with their printable order screen, buying from someone on CL gets trickier.
