So, I have had an old-school Sansa Fuze for a few years and it's starting to give up the ghost. Many of the meta tags are ignored, the wheel tuner often gets stuck, and the FM antennae is completely shot. I was thinking of getting a new one.

- I checked out the new model Fuze at Best Buy and hated it.
- I have not had good experiences with Sony products.
- I will not pay more than $40 for an Apple product.
- Have heard bad things about Coby stuff.

My current model is 4GB. Would not mind an 8GB, but another 4GB one would do. I only use it for MP3s and radio, so I don't care what else it has. I want one that has an actual radio antenna installed, not an internet streaming app.

Not sure if your player is supported or not but you can check out Rock box. I also have a Sansa player and its been on Rockbox for the past 4 years. Obviously won't fix hardware issues but just thought I'd throw that in there.

buy another fuze and rockbox it. fuze or clip is my light player of choice. cheap and easy to keep around a few so you are never out of a player.

I have a Sony NWZE465BLK and I prefer my clip. it does have a really long battery life for travels,

or I use my ibasso DX100 but overkill for almost eveyrbody.

My problem with the new Fuze isn't with the software, but the physical layout. Mainly the buttons not physically reacting to my input.

No ipods and no walkmans? How much are you looking to spend?

Thanks for the nomination for the Most Memorable CAG Villan 2012, Blade!

Preferably around $60-$70, but I can go as high as $80-$90.

Get on old Fuse off of ebay or buy a new Clip. Use your cell phone, 3DS, PSP, Vita, etc. Too many of these newfangled devices have mp3 functionality built in already.

Just get a Clip.

I remember seeing an mp3 player with 100 hours of runtime, I wonder what happened to it.

I think I will just try and get a new-old Fuze. Radio/MP3s drain way too much juice from my phone. Thanks for all the input
