I'm too tired to find a bunch of quotes and videos right now, but this blog seems to give a pretty good rundown of some of the things that were said.
Easily one of the worst blogs I have ever read. The only person I can see being a racist would be Michelle Bachmann and even then the chance is quite slim.
If you can't identify the racism in their statements, you clearly don't know the meaning of the word.
I think your just blind with hatred for republicans to see the truth. I am going to go ahead and defend two people on the list.
1. Ron Paul
He never argued that this a moral evil and a violation of white people' liberty. He argued that the bill destroyed the private property rights and civil liberty. See the bill gave the government incredible power over the hiring and employee relations which led to violations of private property rights. In order to make sure that the establishment is not racist they would be required to hire based on racial quotas. Forced integration only increases racial tension. America has improved when it comes to racism due to changes in public attitudes and private efforts, not because of the Civil Rights Act.
Also Ron Paul was endorsed by many blacks including Tavis Smiley and Cornel West. Here is also a video I just found of random African Americans supporting Ron Paul.
2. Rick Santorum
Before I start defending his comment, I am gonna go ahead and tell you that I hate Rick with passion. He is my most hated candidate of 2012.
The crappy blog is so anti republican that it starts skewing things to make these people look like the biggest racists in the country. Rick Santorum never called any black people parasites nor did he every imply that. The blog of course does not even list the full quote which is "I don't want to make black people's lives better by giving them somebody else's money; I want to give them opportunity to go out and earn money." With a full quote it presents an entirely different image of Rick. As someone once said "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." I do not see a problem with that at all.
There we go, I just refuted two claims and I bet the rest of them are crap either. Keep in mind that I disliked everyone but Ron Paul on that list and would not want to seem to become a president for many different reasons but racism is not of them. If your going to call them out on something than make sure it is something legitimate.
Here is the thing that make RAND Paul a joke and nothing like his dad.....
He goes around blaming everything on Obama
When if you looked at it from a strategic kind of way, Obama only choices was to either scrap the whole spying program and be called a terrorist supporting America weakening Muslim POTUS or expand the spying program for use on the same white status quo that so supported it when it was never used on them.
So in a way he may actually have help paved the way to possibly scrapping the whole spying program since the white status quo now know how it feels to be the minority. But for all the people who continue to say racism is dead in america, get out of your rock, the fact remains the same the white status quo will always look to target the minority and ignore the rights of those that are not in their "circle".
Maybe the best way to show people the light is when the light needs to be shined on them. But until the day conservatism/narrow mindedness dies, I hold no hope and we will continue to repeat history just with different faces to be the NEW enemy/flavor of the day
I find Rand Paul far from being a joke. Unlike his father, he is quickly becoming one of the most popular republicans in years. While I do not like the fact that he is blaming many things on Obama but that is the way politics work, he is working within the system. His father only told the truth and look where it got him, both parties went against him and he had no chance of winning the primaries.
I also disagree with your statement about those two choices. He could have completely shut the system down considering that would the right thing to do. Instead he keeps trying to justify it.
