Alright, I hope there isn't a thread for this already. I looked, but the new forum software is slightly more confusing. Anyway, Saints Row 4 is coming this summer, August 20th in the United States and August 23rd in other places!

Taken from wikipedia,

"Several years following the events of Saints Row: The Third, the Third Streets Saints leader has been elected as president of the United States. When an alien invasion occurs, the president is sent to a simulation of Steelport, where he/she must use superpowers to fight against the alien invasion."

This one looks too over the top... It looks like they're branching out too far from the previous entries with all that crazy stuff (and yes, I'm aware they dabbled into it with Saints Row: The Third, but not to this degree).
 
Completely pumped for this game! I loved Saints Row 3 so much. Preordered from Gamestop because I need dat Wonder Woman costume DLC. :p

 
I am still looking forward to this game! I think I am going to try and get a Redbox copy on release day. I bought SR3 on release, but I think I will just rent SR4.

 
I saw Two Best Friends Play it and it does look to be a little much, but it also looks really awesome. Matt and Pat said it's basically like every game in one game haha. There was also a part that definitely paid homage to Mass Effect 3.

Is it the ending? Please say they make fun of it. Like the end the game with the president having to choose between killing the aliens, killing humans or breeding with them (obviously SR wouldn't have symbiosis so I chose breeding to not be lewd but you can substitute shaqfu in there).
 
Hey, guys, if you're going to spoil stuff days before the game comes out, please have the courtesy to spoiler it. This goes for all spoilers in this thread. It's just the nice thing to do.

I'm surprised there isn't more chatter about this game with all the reviews coming in.  One review mentioned how the game is structured like Mass Effect 2 with you rescuing/recruiting members, then going through loyalty missions.  A parody of a Mass Effect sounds like fun. 

 
Just got back from the midnight launch...the GotG edition is fucking awesome.  Yes, the Dubstep Gun/red button items are cheap but the Gat statue is one of the nicer ones I've seen in a CE and the case...good GOD the case is awesome.  All it needs is a speaker so the beginning of Also sprach Zarathustra can play when you take the faux-velvet dust cover off.

 
Picked it up at midnight last night and played for about an hour and a half. In that time I heard Bombs Over Baghdad, Simply Irresistible, The Touch, MC Skat Kat, and Aerosmith's I Don't Want to Miss a Thing. Not sure how this soundtrack can ever be topped. :lol:

It's pretty amazing. I was listening to "The Mix" the in game station and was amazed by how good the songs were that played. So far, it easily has one of the best soundtracks from a sandbox game.

Supposedly the Season Pass includes Enter the Dominatrix and one other story/mission DLC. "Hillbilly/Dub/Prez" and "Sports" sound like costume packs maybe, and "Super Powers" could be some kind of upgrade pack. "Saints Save Xmas" could be a mission or maybe just some Santa costumes. "GAT V" is surely some kind of Grand Theft Auto parody.
 
i just beat the main story and have to say this game was a big let down for me. I loved s r 3 so much and this game just did not do it for me. Seems like alot of the crazyness and other sweet stuff in s r 3 was just not in this game. In my mind i think this game was rushed and even more rushed so the company that paid the rights for this from thq would have a game out before next gen hits.

as a person that loves the 80's music nothing beats vice city soundtrack. that's one thing i missed in gta 4 is real songs so i got hope for gta 5 we get legit soundtrack and not fake music.

Based on the submission order I'd say the Xmas one is the second story DLC.

This game is good because its not like part three.
 
I rented it from Redbox for 5 days, spending $8. Went HAAM and completed/found everything except beating all of the challenges. It's a fun game, but the story was mostly boring. Some activities were fun, but about half of them were thrown in to extend the game life. It's a good game but I'm glad I didn't buy it. Powers were awesome, soundtrack wasn't bad, but the glitches really brought down the experience for me. Audio glitches were frequent and the game crashed on me several times (thankfully autosave worked wonders). Honestly it just got me more psyched for GTA V.

 
Really enjoying this game, really took me away from SC: Blacklist. Almost beat the campaign currently at 78% completion 

 
Picked up SR4 today and having loads of fun with it This is my first Saints Row game in the franchise and it's just hilarious. All the ways you can customize your character and see how ridiculous you can make him was even more hilarious.

So did anyone have any music for the end credits?  Apparently there's supposed to be a musical tribute to Michael Clarke Duncan but my credits were completely silent and my Google-fu has failed me.  I've been hit with the Keith David audio log bug if it matters.

 
FYI I was just at Walmart in south St. Louis County and they have been resupplied with vanilla copies of the game so the Commander in Chief code games are starting to run out.

 
Anyone want to help me out with my last three gold medals? I just need Fight Club (medium), UFO Mayhem (hard), and Mind Over Murder (hard). Should be a bit easier with two people in co-op. I'd be happy to help with whatever you need too.

 
When I first started playing it after you start doing side quests instead of the main ones I thought, "They hardly improved or deviated from the Third."  A while later I changed my mind because I loved Saints Row the Third and what I makes me like the Saints Row games compared the GTA is the humor. The story wasn't as good as the Third but it was just as fun and as humorous and that's all I care about. I hope they can spend some time changing things up more if they are able to do a 5th.

 
Enter the Dominatrix was alright but I can see why they postponed it and made Saints Row IV instead.  After playing through the final game the prototype DLC seems so tame, even if everything is covered in penises.
