Obviously the majority of heated discussion is going to be about the box itself, but would be nice to keep that thread clean of off-topic stuff about games.

Not long to go now. It's going to take literally a miracle for them to convince me this system is worth purchasing, so I hope they've been talking to God this morning.

"We have a BIG reveal coming from Rare" and what do we get? Another Kinect Sports update. I really have a feeling that the large majority of their exclusives are going to be Kinect titles. I will always give MS credit for having the better interface, but once the PS3 got rolling it was clear that the software advantage was going to be theirs. Without a full year headstart I think they are going to be in big trouble without some very impressive surprises, and some good news on the DRM front.

Yeah, that was disappointing when I read that this morning. Maybe it wasn't they're "big reveal", but my guess is that it was. We'll see though.

Also, I guess they let it slip that Xbox One will be releasing in November. Sorry if that info belongs in the other thread.

Let's go MS. I have a very busy day at work...

13 Xbone exclusives. I was worried they were going to reveal that MGS5 was gonna be one...

I think people were probably expecting him to say Assassin's Creed 3...when he said 2 I think people just started think how long ago that game came out...

Hey free is free. Hopefully in the future they improve the titles and continue the program. Plus the games are free forever.

I can't bring myself to care about anything Microsoft does at E3 until they address the DRM issue, which they obviously are not going to do since they've already cancelled all of their interviews.  They just need to fast-forward through Microsoft and get to the PS4.

No matter what games they put up free, people would bitch. But agreed with above. They can show whatever they want. If their DRM is as fucked as it appears, I'll pass.

I am pleased with xbox I will be getting the new 360 and xbox one asap. I can't wait. Sorry complainers but I replay alot of xbox 360 games because they are so awesome. So I am sooooo happy with everything coming up! YES! go xbox!!!

The Microsoft conference seems to be plagued by technical issues. Not much more than an annoyance, but still.

Some of the games look pretty neat. I wish there wasn't so much of a focus on "realism." But there have been a few titles that appeal to my sensibilities. Project Spark looks promising to me. Killer Instinct is what it is, but I know there are some fans who are going to enjoy it.

Quantum Break looks good I will be sad to see that slip by. I would bet Dead Rising 3 is a timed exclusive. One thing I will say is looking at all these games makes you realize how screwed Nintendo is from a third party perspective. None of this stuff will run on the Wii U and so regardless of DRM I will likely be forced into getting XB1 or PS4. I won't do PC as I hate dealing with upgrades and limited or not there will be trade in options.

Outside Battlefield 4 I wasn't very impressed graphically at all. I expected the leap wouldn't be that great, and even then I'm still a little bummed at the lack of graphic candy.

Dead Rising 3 was a huge jump graphically from the previous games.

Titanfall looked kind of bad ass also.

$500 is just too much right now though.

The games seem so boring. It's either cinematic QTE bullshit or more first person shooters. What I really want to see is advances in AI, but playing the same FPS games at a higher resolution isn't that interesting to me.

Titanfall impressed the shit outta me. Too bad it's exclusive.
But it isn't. It's coming for PC and Xbox 360 as well.

I was impressed...I went from not getting one to probably getting one at launch.

Nothing about always connected, the Cloud, or DRM, or used games, or Kinect scares me so, meh.

Just my $.02.

Glad Titanfall is coming to the 360.
I'm assuming MS points will transfer to Xbox One, but being MS that might be a dangerous assumption. Anyone know?

I'm passing on One, but I have a lot of point cards that I hope to sell.

I'm actually stunned at some of the exclusives and reveals: Titanfall, Crimson Dragon (needs Kinect, bah!), Dead Rising 3, and Killer Instinct 3. I'm amazed that a game as big as Titalfall is excluive to one console (MS must have paid huge bucks to acquire the rights).

But $500? Wow... and they didn't address any of the used game/DRM questions. They definitely bought the games after years of crap, but overall, nothing MS showed makes me want to buy the X1.

EDIT* Not sure anyone noticed, but during a Theif 4 demo at the X1 post-presentation was the PS4 version.

Everyone noticed, because they repeatedly said it was the PS4 version, before, during, and after...

Saints Row 4 looks a little too out there for me.

This is where I'm at as well. After a while, I'm sorry, all the shooters just start to look the same. Interchange Soldiers/Aliens/Robots, and it's the same game over and over again. And I agree, the graphical jump just isn't enough to blow me away anymore. I want different experiences...and worthwhile ones. Not realistic arm hair and bigger explosions.

One realization I had while watching the presentation, in the older console days, it used to be the games that had these huge changes, while the consoles and infrastructure largely remained the same. Now, it seems backward. The games are really only a little different from the previous generation, but the systems themselves have these huge changes in how you're "allowed" to play the games. To me, that definitely gives the feeling that this next generation is less about providing great games and more about restricting how we're able to use them. Something about that just takes a lot of the fun out of it.

Biggest disappointment: no mention whatsoever of Dance Central 4. I wonder if they have killed the series in favor of the Fantasia game? If so, that would be depressing. But maybe they just aren't ready to show or talk about it. No way am I getting an Xbox One for $500 anyway, so it's fine if it's just not anywhere near release, as long as it's still in the pipeline.

How come Halo wasn't named as Halo 5? They just said a new Halo game for the xbox one. Maybe its a spin off in some way?

In terms of games:

Titanfall looks cool.

Forza cool but same old.

Battlefield want t see online gameplay (I read its going to be shown off this E3?)

Ryse or QTE the game looked okay but too much QTE for me.

Honestly, the impression I got was that they didn't want to talk about any of the stuff that got them in so much trouble in the first place...and Kinect is a part of that. I think they realized that this presentation had to be about "hardcore games" if they stood any chance of talking people down off the ledge (there was really no mention of "Kinect" or "TV"). It was amusing to me to see people getting upset that they didn't discuss DRM or being always connected anymore, when last time that was all they talked about and people were mad they didn't show any games. Microsoft did at least back up what they said they were going to do. I just don't know that this console is going to be for me...at least not for a couple of years, depending on how price drops and game sales shake out. $100 a year (plus XBL sub) and $60 for every single game just isn't worth it to me.

I was kinda mad about DR3 being "exclusive" but from the trailer I'd say keep it.  I loved the bat shit crazy stuff from the earlier ones, a more serious DR does not interest me at all.  The crazy psycho fights are what made the games.

Also, I highly doubt what was shown of DR3 was actual XBOne gameplay footage (or even XBone cut scenes), which is typical for these reveals, but still aggregates me some.

I had the some thought when I saw the trailer. Immediatley after that thought, I had a fantasy where the Saints Row team made a Dead Rising game. *sigh* hopless dreams *sigh*
