Didn't there used to be a posting restriction for ultra newbie CAGs?
I'd rather see posting restrictions for CAGs who are unnecessarily catty toward new users trying to be helpful.
I wasn't actually being catty to him. There used to be a policy of restricting new posters from posting for the first 48 hours of their account's existence. This policy was in place in part to deter spammers from just creating accounts at will and flooding the boards with posts about how we should buy their item up on ebay (and other such nonsense). The post above was the moment that I first noticed that that policy was no longer in place.

In the grand scheme of things, re-posting a deal like the OP did was no big deal. But I really do hope that CheapyD reinstates the newbie posting restrictions. Because I don't wanna see this board flooded with spam links for knock-off Gucci products.

That's a legitimate concern.  Some adbot bumped the Microsoft Store Sale thread (was like six months or so old, maybe more) and people were raging.

It was within the first month when I joined.
Was it really that long? That seems a tad bit excessive. Somewhere between 48 hours and a week seems about right.
I'm not sure it ever was that long. It was a month to post a new thread in the trade forum, and it's possible it was a month to post any new thread anywhere. Replying to a thread was a shorter wait--72 hours, perhaps. I joined last September and my first post is four days after my join date.

Sorry I forgot to post a link.

I know It's weird this is my first posting I am not another bot on IndieGala's behalf I just never created a profile on this site. But I go on here all the time.

You did forget to post a link. That is however not why people are making fun/going off topic. It's because there is already a long running thread dedicated to the Indie Gala bundle.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been deleted by now.
