Does Remote Play ever work well?

I just tried playing the Crash Bandicoot games on my Vita via PS3 remote play and it was terrible. The graphics looked fuzzy and the there was a lot of lag. Do any games play well via Remote Play? Is this what we can expect from PS4 to Vita Remote Play?

I remember when there was big talk about that. Don't remember which game I tried, but it was a mess.

Hope I remember to check this thread to see if you get any answers.

I would hold off on testing it now. I am sure Sony is going to roll out a lot more updates to this feature soon as they pretty much mandated PS4 games to comply.

Think of the PS3 version to be a playground to test it.

I've played the God of War HD collection (those psp games), Ico/Shadow and Tokyo Jungle via Remote Play and I've been mostly pleased.  I'm generally sitting 5-10 feet from my PS3 when I'm doing it though (remember, your Vita makes an adhoc connection to your PS3 for Remote Play, doesn't go through your wifi router).

The biggest problem for me is rubber banding when platforming when a lot is going on - never an issue in Tokyo Jungle but a lot of crappy deaths in GoW because the stream suddenly 'rewinds' mid jump.  I agree with StryderOmega though - it's always felt like the PS3 + PSP/Vita were a beta test for the concept.  Since it's mandatory for PS4 games I would hope they would make it slightly less sucky.
