Seriously? "Special amber goggles unlockable on select Sunkist packages"? Is this what gaming has become? Buy a soft drink to unlock a meaningless feature in a game? And even if the feature is worthless, why do I have to buy a soft drink to access it? If it's unlockable, it's on the disc. Why is disc content, on a disc we're paying full MSRP for, restricting content to customers who don't buy a soft drink?

Just making a buck. I agree its lame but I would prefer that over spending extra money for an in game item that gives you an edge or so you can keep up with others that have wasted money.

While that's true, sales such as this often happen right before a price drop or new bundle. I'm sure most wouldn't be surprised if a price drop happened sooner rather than later since the price has already dropped in Japan.

I am very tempted with that $199 Vita deal. The only think keeping me from getting it is the memory stick. Does it come with one? Because I heard they are very expensive. Also should I just hold out til Black Friday to get a Vita?

I`d purchase now but prepared to return/rebuy if a better deal comes. Not sure if target would allow a return if opened though. So price match at Bestbuy and if you're silver that's 60 days to return/rebuy so that get's until early october.
The price drop.will come this yr per sony along will memory card drops too but you will see some new game bundles & maybe a mem card too. There's also the $50-$100 GC deals as well.
 
lol. He's probably referring to the time CAG got sued because a member posted an ad that leaked a PS3 price drop before it was officially announced. 

 
As tempting as this is with Ys Celceta coming out next month, I think I'll wait for Black Friday for bundle deals. Would have bought one if it was $150 now though.

Tempted to get a vita now.  But would probably regret it during black friday, when they are all but guaranteed to be $200, plus extras or even cheaper. 

 
So want to buy a PS Vita but gonna wait to see if the PS4/Vita bundle is true. If not am so buying one that week  :whistle2:o

Will be price matching the Disney Infinity Play Sets at Best Buy on release day since I have gift cards. Anyone see this as a problem since it is day of release for the product?

Vita price drop is a good thing, but they also need to drop the price of the memory cards. A lot. Mind you, I like my Vita a lot, but I wouldn't have bought one new and still wouldn't. I bought a used one.

 
I could use a $200 vita, but don't want to pay sales tax until I file my taxes.

I'm quick to think that the Vita sale is good, but then I remember the lack of games available for it right now. Which is actually funny, because I work at Target and our Sony vendor took the PS3 display and the Vita display a couple days ago.. So possibly that bundle deal is real. 

 
this is an incredible deal for the $299 Vita - sell the $50 PS+ card to a friend, get a few bucks for the 4gb card. The two targets by me have horribly stock game areas though.

Been wanting to try one, but it would suck if it came up with a PS4 combo for half the price (or less). I got a Launch Day pre-order already on Amazon, not going to give up on that one.

But yeah, maybe they are clearing their inventories ahead of something.

This is a nice deal, but it smells of a Sony announcement of sorts. Wait til after the next trade shows or hold off until black friday. 

Unless you REALLY wanna play Killzone and Dragon's Crown. 

 
Pretty good deal, I bought a Vita shortly after release and don't regret it. I've played my Vita more than any system since then. My store has the Batman bundles still so that wouldn't be bad for $200.

 
Man, this is tempting since I can get free games from my PS+ account.  There's also that sequel to 999 too...

There are tons of games for Vita, just on PSN, not in stores. That is why you need a big memory card for it.

The new Walking Dead bundle if I wanted to actually play the bundled game. Black Ops Declassified bundle if I wanted to resell the included game on eBay. Declassified SUCKS hard, but it still goes for $23-24 on eBay. The other bundled games aren't worth much for resale.

 
If Killzone is releasing Sept 10, then there's probably a price cut and even a new model coming out just before that. Weren't they going to release a 4G Vita? Maybe 4G for $250 and Wifi for $200.
