Daniel Bryan has been robbed by the colluding forces of Randy Orton and Hunter Hearst Hemsley. Did Vince McMahon play a part in this? Did Stephanie McMahon know? Will Bryan get his title back or will the combined effort of the McMahon family spell doom for Bryan's odds of success in the WWE? Find out at Night of Champions!

Damn. Punk-Lesnar was amazing. Assuming Cena-Bryan isn't a stinker, this has been the best PPV in ages.
I watched half of ADR-Christian and all of Punk-Lesnar and Danielson-Cena.

Christian is the Chavo Jr. of Canadian wrasslers. He just lacks something intangible, or he lost something from his transition of heel with badass entrance to aging-journeyman-sorta-just-moseying-along.

Punk and Lesnar have good chemistry despite Lesnar having a lot less charisma in WWE than he showed in the UFC. ADCC Punk was pretty amusing. Good pace, good spots, and good finish. Punk is a pro. I loved Lesnar's rolling verticals. He does that a lot better than Eddie ever did. That's the wrestler in the wrassler.

Weird match by Danielson and Cena. Ungraceful pacing, lots of botches, and seemingly a lot of miscommunication between the two made for a truly awkward match. The Tiger Mask flip into Cena's finish would have made for a nice spot had they not botched that. I like that Danielson and KENTA seem to be trading moves. KENTA borrowing the omoplata crossface and Danielson using the bicycle knee. Wish he had used KENTA's setup for it, tho. That was a very sports entertainment style finish.

And I support the Orton swerve. Bring back Brotista please. I would be able to dedicate some of my time to WWE if they brought back Brotista with spotlights.

Razor Ramon in 2K14 means I'll totally buy the game this year. Probably at $40, but I'll buy it nevertheless.

I'm hoping that the arenas aren't lazy skins on the same generic framework (i.e., the WMX arena, if it's in, should look like the WMX arena, and not have a ramp, and the entrance should come opposite the 'hard camera'). Fingers crossed, but not having hopeful thoughts.
I agree, sir.

Now all we need is Rotunda/IRS to recreate their feud. I remember really enjoying their matches. Wonder how that holds up today.

I think Christian's always looked gangly or too skinny like he could use a burger. But the guy's in ring ability, selling, and mic skills make up for it and then some. When was the last time he stunk up the joint? He's a legit future Hall of Famer.

Lest we forget Cena practically Tiger Driver '91-ing Bryan off the second rope. fuck.
Yeah that was a near disaster.

The problem I had with the Bryan/Cena match is quite the same as the problems Muta had. That powerbomb spot towards the start of the match just straight up uncalled for and completely screwed the pacing of the match. From there on it was sort of a clusterfuck

I imagine Cena is hurt really badly. He was pulled from the last few shows over the past week I believe in order to make sure he was healthy for tonight and I believe he's going under the knife very soon.

I don't know if it was here or somewhere else that I read that they predict that Dolph Ziggler is going to win the Royal Rumble. As hard I don't think it'll happen...I still could see it happening. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

But if Orton is still champ by then it's definitely going to be Bryan winning the Rumble.

Called it on the main event.

Is Cena going to do a movie soon or is he legit hurt and going to be gone for a year or so again?

Seeing that Del Rio had a fight with McIntyre now gives them an excuse to release him.  The guy hasn't done anything in years and has bitched on twitter about it recently too.

I like how asking to be introduced in Spanish is heel heat considering how many people in LA speak spanish. lol, only in wrestling

I missed most of Punk/Lesnar because i switched over to Breaking Bad, but I'm hearing fantastic things about it. I'll check it out later today if I get the chance.

Outside of Punk/Lesnar I thought Summerslam was pretty dull. Way too much filler between matches, way too many ads, and then seeing the mixed tag team match pretty rushed was terrible. Oh and that stupid fire match with Kane and Wyatt was just absolutely dumb. Yeah let's hype a match saying having fire around the ring will stop any interference from happening but that happens anyways. I know that in reality they are writing Kane off so he can film "See No Evil 2" but still lame is as lame does.

Also D-Bry winning then Orton cashing in one could have seen that coming from several miles away. Way too predictable.

Idk I thought that was the best PPV I've seen in ages, better than the last Wrestlemania for sure.  Even though most agree what happened to Bryan last night was crappy it makes all the business sense in the world.  Orton was so over as a face they had to do something fairly drastic to get him over as a heel, and while the reaction last night was mixed live they should be able to complete his turn fully tonight on Raw if handled correctly.  With Cena most likely being out for a while they now have their next fued for at least the next few months all set up.  Bryan is great in the role of "chaser", IMO better than he would be in role of the one being chased.  Orton can now be the company's #1 heel while at the same time refreshing his character, which as a face was beyond stale and boring.  Having Bryan get screwed and making him chase after the belt even longer will make it all the more meaningful when he does actually get a reign of consequence.  Smart booking all around as far as I can tell.

Also, was I the only one who thought the Sandow/Rhodes match was for the briefcase?  When Rhodes won I was stoked but then Michael Cole reminded everyone about 5 times that Sandow still holds the briefcase.  Was this a last minute change or had it been like this for a while now?  I like Sandow but I really wanted Rhodes to get the contract and finally get the push he deserves.  He could be a top 3 face in the company if they actually cared about him at all.  It's frustrating to watch a guy in his prime like that just have nowhere to go.

Lesnar/Punk was really great as well.  That was by far the best match Lesnar has had since returning part time.  I liked how he wrestled more like he used to versus his garbage matches with Triple H where he was basically just an MMA fighter in a wrestling ring.  It was good to see him use lots of suplexes and other power moves versus a muay tai clinch lol.  Too bad he will most likely be gone until next year, he would have all kinds of momentum if he was working a more active schedule.  One of the best matches of the year so far.

The match was never for the briefcase. It would have made all the sense in the world for it to have been, but that's not what they decided to do. Although, it would give it a perfect set-up for Night of Champions.

I also didn't care for the ending of the PPV, but I still enjoyed it. If they didn't waste so much damn time it would have been much better if Bryan and Orton actually had a match, but they couldn't afford to go over.

Biggest surprise of last night was seeing Yoshi Tatsu on a pay per view and I hope Ryback's new gimmick is he goes around harassing chef's now.

In case anyone missed it (if the loading is causing a problem let me know and I will move these over to Imgur):

Yoshi Tatsu is still employed by WWE? What the shit?

Someone point out some good parts of RAW and I'll try to watch those clips on YouTube. Otherwise, it'll just be the usual, not-watching-WWE sorta Monday. Genuinely interested to see how they follow up the Legacy shenanigans. Orton should have some killer buzz.

I'm hoping this Shield/Ziggler match isn't leading to him being written off TV. Though it may be better than the clear fact that it would say that they don't have anything better for him to do.

The Goldberg version of Gordon Ramsay?
Oh man, if that becomes a new segment where they decorate the ring and Ryback is wearing his wrestling attire with a bib and pounding on the table with a knife and fork and shouting "FEED ME MORE!" I would enjoy that more then I should.

It was during a no point segment that began with some of the WWE "entertainers" eating from the catering table and first one seen was Yoshi Tatsu. Meaning he's still employed AND he gets to eat the same food as everyone else.

That was a great finish to the Shield / Ziggler match. I'll see if I can get a GIF. Also did anyone see Rollins bad landing after being suplexed out of the ring?

Man. This "Night of Champions" thread is becoming the Night of Injuries thread.

I see Sin Cara injured himself again.  I also couldn't help but notice Sin Cara intentionally ramming his head right into Del Rio's during his dive.  I keep forgetting that those two guys really don't like each other.

Anyone think Ziggler and Show are going to be pushed as the other faces trying to fight off the "Corporation" moving forward?

They need to do something more with the Wyatts. Squashing low card faces aren't going to get them anywhere.

Apparently Primo & Epico were the ones in the Los Matadores video.

So it looks like they've run out of gimmicks, so they're repackaging Tito Santana's "El Matador" gimmick into a tag team.

Because that worked so well for Tito. I also see they have combined the Matador gimmick with the other greatest gimmick ever and are letting them wear Aldo Montoya-ish masks!

I think this is the highlight of Tito as El Matador:

Gorilla: El Paso del Monte!

Brain:  What'd you say?  Extra Hot Pace Picante?

Had me a hankerin' for a KENTA match.  I found one I hadn't seen before against Naomichi Marufuji and I would definitely recommend it, great match.

More details have come to light regarding the brawl that took place this weekend involving WWE Superstars Alberto Del Rio and Drew McIntyre.

Apparently the altercation took place at approximately 3:00am on Saturday. As the story goes, Del Rio and McIntyre went to an Irish bar together. Someone allegedly said something to the girl that McIntyre was with, which prompted Del Rio to step in. From there, somebody reportedly blind-sided Del Rio over the head with a bottle, and things escalated from there.

McIntyre came out of the fracas sporting a black eye, and Del Rio as well suffered a black eye, along with a lot of bad swelling and bruising in his face.
Drew McIntyre, a lady, and Los Angeles = trouble.

What exactly is the purpose of repackaging the Carlito clones into Tito Montoya clones? Did someone in creative think we needed another reason to scratch our heads and ask WTF they were smoking over there?

I know, bring out the torches but, anybody else watching Total Divas?

It seems like Cena is a semi douche and show off, very materialistic. Where as Bryan is so quiet and all about his family and low key. I wish they had more Natalie honestly. Any other comments on it?

Anyone else hear Bobby Roode talking about beating the shit out of Eric the Actor? It was fantastic. I lost it when he said he was going to tip over his wheelchair, tie balloons to him, and kick him so that he floats back to Sacramento.
