This x1000. Why even come in this thread to shit all over GF? The majority of people are aware of the possibility of chips but still receive excellent condition, complete games at prices cheaper than anywhere else.

That was always my experience when I bought 360 games from Gamefly. Had to get most games resurfaced before they would work correctly. Maybe we just have bad luck? Most people say there in excellent condition. I always buy ps3 only games from gamefly.

isn't epic mickey NEW from microsoftstore.com $13 anyway and is still in stock?

granted i understand some people have their share of difficulty with that sorry excuse of a store. i only just recently had mine unblocked.

I've gotten 4 games 3/4 which are unacceptable.

Although their customer service is outstanding. Why shouldn't I come in and show people what happens?

I don't have a problem with you posting your findings, but when it's as absolute as 'Here is what you get when you buy from Gamefly', it's misleading and not nuanced enough to represent the reality that you, along with many others, have had more problems than most, but are also a minority.

 
Nice picked up Crysis 3 to add to the backlog.  Probably should stop buying, especially with the Xbox One right around the corner. 

As far as game conditions, I've probably bought 40+ games over the past 4-5 years, and I'd say 98% of them are fine (even with the small chips and light scratching, which don't really bother me), only 3 or 4 have been cracked or unplayable.  And if that's the case, CS is excellent and prompt.

I think it is fair to share your experiences here on CAG and it should be appreciated. I have purchased a few games from Gamefly and I have only had 1 disc that I had to send back. Most of the games I order come in mint condition and I look forward to Gamefly sales, because I know that if something is wrong, their customer service quickly responds and issues a prompt refund. It would be nice if they actually looked at the games and used their best judgment, but reality is the people sending the games out probably don't care.

That's what I always thought and still do but harder to scratch is different from harder to chip apparently. I have had a few PS3 games from them with 1 or 2 small chips before. The last one I ordered had a whopping 6 chips, though! 5 on one half of the semi circle and the other on the other side. It played when I tried it but didn't want to tempt fate and I thought that was kinda lame, sending me that. I returned it and got a replacement with the usual 2 chips on it :wall:

And to the guys saying all their games come mint, maybe you are getting them from a different facility then I am? Mine come from Pittsburgh...

Yeah it was. I didn't really get into the Gears franchise until just before Gears 3 came out and I enjoyed the story and improving gameplay/graphics as I played through them all. When I picked up Judgement at launch, I felt it was missing something and that the challenges on the wall in each section were distracting from the story. I couldn't stay interested enough to finish it before trading it off for $40 since I knew it would get much cheaper down the road. That said it was still interesting enough to pick up again at this price.

I guess I'm in the 1%, too. Due to all the scratches and unplayable discs I've gotten, what I've been doing if I really want a game from Gamefly, is I order 2 or more copies (depends on TIV), then keep the one that works and trade the rest in. I'm not intentionally flipping; I have to do that to ensure I get at least one working copy. It's like a crap shoot. Lol.

you have to play as morgan tho and pretend to be weapon x wolverine and go schnickty schnickty when you slice up zombies ;)

it does kinda suck tho cuz you dont get many weapon mods other than wolverine claws (electric upgrade) and some brass knuckles.

 and even weirder cuz you can't find any more brass knuckles or something in 2nd part of game so you can't upgrade them...

I'm confused? Even if it was a one day deal, which it didn't mention anywhere in the initial post, I responded the day it was posted.

Or maybe it was a day later? I do remember seeing the initial post and it said "Posted Today". Oh well.
