I don't understand why Hyper Light Drifter couldn't be PS3 as well. I am not liking this PS4+Vita thing. I won't be getting a PS4 any time soon. I do have a Vita, though, and love games that work on PS3 and Vita. Why not all 3?

higher dev costs?

these teams are small. very small. ps3 could be tricky to dev for if they havent really done much with ps3 before and just did steam stuff. ps4 is much more dev friendly in its probably easier to dev for and you can self publish. im not even sure self publishing is possible on ps3.

PS3 has self publishing, but you make a good point about the other stuff. PS4 is more like a PC. Is the Vita more like a portable PC?

I so want River City Ransom Underground as a crossbuy for PS3/Vita. I'll settle for the Vita version, if it is only on the PS4/Vita.

Here's another stretch goal:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/388449021/general-chaos-ii-sons-of-chaos?ref=category

I remember playing the original on the Sega Genesis back in the day. They need $600K for an Xbox port and $700K for a Playstation port.
thats not even gonna hit its non stretch goal, let alone the huge one for a console port.

sadly i dont think RCRU is gonna hit its stretch goal

General Chaos II definitely seems like a real underdog. Glad to see that Shantae got funded.

Having played both the NES version and GBA version of River City Ransom, I so would like to see a sequel. River City Ransom Underground as just a computer game, doesn't seem quite right to me. I really hope RCRU makes its stretch goal and onto the Vita/PS4. I'd settle for a PSP version.

added another game i came across called Blood Alloy which is a metroidvania game with some Vanquish mechanics http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/63518568/blood-alloy
Reminded me too much of the old PC game Abuse. I didn't like the way that one played either, and it was nicer looking too. Just watched a Youtube playthrough of the first level and was bored to tears within the first three minutes. I'm glad people still have fond memories of it, I'm just not one of them.

Didn't support it based on that connection alone (and that's why it will fail too) because of the stupid control scheme (devs say they ripped it off as much too, since they were fans of it back in the day) but there is a reason no other game has come out with controls like that every again, did they not bother to consider that, at all?

General Chaos II definitely seems like a real underdog. Glad to see that Shantae got funded.
I supported every game listed above except Blood Alloy and Gen. Chaos 2. Again why did they think their were that many CG fans out there. I don't even know a single person who every played it, let alone have I've seen anyone rave that it was one of the best genesis or most fondly remembered titles on the system. And when I looked last, they don't have a prayer of finishing up successfully.

And I'm glad Shantae got funded too. I kept pestering Comcept to plug the game (before they were funded) to help get the word out and get some money their way. Glad to see that it worked when they finally mentioned it in an update.

river city ransom put up a new concept video. itll be a real shame if this doesnt hit its goal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHaPMUY0buk

mighty no 9 only needs 400K for its ps4 stretch goal. 40 some hours to go.
I would be happy as a clam if mighty no 9 made the next gen stretch goal - the (for me preferred) vita goal seems so far out of reach considering how many people would actually be interested in it, but at least it's possible/required that the ps4 version would have remote play and that'd be good enough for me. That's still a lotta scratch to come up with in two days considering how well it's already done.

This looks awesome, shame that River City Ransom Underground is probably not going to make the stretch goal for the PS4/Vita. This so needs to be ported to the Vita/PS3.

MIGHTY NO 9 PS4 FUNDED!!! YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Just $200K more for Vita/3DS. A long shot, but still hoping.

Anybody here apart of the Warhawk/Starhawk communities on FB? Tight nit community outraged over Sony's marketing or lack there of for the Sequel to Warhawk, Starhawk. Game went gold and soon after release flopped. Layoffs meant the shutdown of Light Box Interactive and developer Dilan Jobe handed his work of art to Sony Santa Monica which has done nothing or said nothing about it since. I see Vita games getting funding. Im not sure a PS4 Exclusive could get funding on the idea alone.

IMO Starhawk was crippled by an online-only setup; many people buy games for single player content, and this game had none at all. The original Warhawk had great single player gameplay, I guess the dev was too lazy to include that in Starhawk. That's why I didn't bother with it.

Thats strange because Warhawk was multiplayer only and Starhawk has a full single player story mode along side multiplayer. Also has 4 player co op.

I'm referring to the original, PS1 Warhawk:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhawk_(1995_video_game)

As for Starhawk, I've read that the single player campaign is weak, and the whole game just really doesn't follow the arcade style roots of the original Warhawk. Starhawk has RTS stuff bundled in, of no interest to me and not like the original.

Yeah, General Chaos was my first violent video game. This was before Mortal Kombat came on the scene.

I liked General Chaos. It had the whole real time strategy without the building of units/bases.

Also I hope at least some of the missed stretch goals for Shantae become DLC. They seem interesting.

50 HOURS TO GO ON RIVER CITY RANSOM UNDERGROUND. ONLY 95K LEFT FOR PS4/VITA!
I was thinking this wouldn't get funded in time, but I'm glad a PC version is going to be released. I wish it would release on Vita or PSP.
