Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Bonus Edition (360/$19.53) (PS3/$19.99) @Amazon

Definitely get it at that price, all-stars racing transformed is a great game.

*Waits patiently for wii u price drop*

what's the difference in the bonus edition?
You get Metal Sonic and OutRun Bay, plus some extra stickers for your in-game license.

How's the online? Pretty active?
For the 360 version its decent, though most of the time the lobbies are split: half are kids that just got the game and half are people that have been playing since day one and know the tracks in and out.

$23.98 for the Wii U version, and currently trades in for $32 at Best Buy with the 100% bonus.
Tempted to bring in my Wii U copy tomorrow, and order a new one from Amazon.

Very tempting to buy a 360 copy but I'll keep waiting hoping it hits $15. Loved the original and the demo was great. :)

So the wii u version is the same as the bonus edition?

I didn't know i could get 30 bucks for it.   Ive been done with it for a long time and i assumed it was nearly worthless by now.

On Bestbuy's TIV site, the picture is of the bonus edition, so I'm assuming you will have no problems trading it in for $30. In-store only at a local Bestbuy.

I have this on Steam and it's excellent... yet now I'm tempted to buy this since I can play in the comfort of my living room, where my consoles are. Am I the only one who feels this way >_>

I was trying to get people to trade in their Wii U Sonics in another thread, but I see it's gone up in price.

If any of you have Sonic and All-Stars Racing for Wii U, a seller on Amazon has it for $21.99. Isomergames.

You could trade yours in for $32/$33.60, buy an Amazon gift card, have $7/$8.60 in Best Buy credit left, rebuy it on Amazon, and have $3.01 in Amazon credit left. Assuming you have Prime for the free shipping.
I have been watching the price on this game. I have it on Vita. Got it at full price. Very much worth it! Not sure how much longer I can wait before I buy it on a different console!

Definitely worth the price of admission. I bought it for a bit more on Steam and have enjoyed every minute of it. Not sure if it's a spoiler or not, but this has got to be the best track in the game.

I paid $22 shipped on eBay because they had a picture of the actual item and I wanted to be absolutely sure I was getting the "Bonus Edition." :p The download code for the DLC expires in November by the way.

For the PS3 the bonus stuff comes in a code and not on disc.

The closest thing to this is Blur gameplay wise, but the tracks are more like mario kart

I enjoyed this game so much that I rented it about 4 times from Redbox (free game rental codes) while waiting for the price to drop under $20.  Then I realized that the difficulty of the campaign hits a point that spikes rather abruptly.  There's a wall in the game with big, sloppy, spraypainted letters that say "SUCK LESS".

Local 4-player splitscreen is a blast, but I don't think I can beat the campaign completely, even with a fully-upgraded Sonic.

PROTIP: Using a DJ Hero mixer as the 4th controller doesn't work due to the required trigger to accelerate, but it sure is hilarious seeing someone try who doesn't know how to play the game at all...

It's not that difficult. 3 stars is challenging but doable. I use the default Knuckles and have had great luck with him so far.

I had already bought this game on steam when the four pack was $20 so I have no interest in the console version. My PC is easy to connect to my 42" TV and could also use different kinds of controllers at the same time instead of all four 360 controllers.

3 star is doable on some of the tracks/campaign and with the proper items for each stage from the slot machine for an advantage at the beginging of the race but 4 stars (4 star option is unlocked on all tracks at a certain point, dunno criteria) is not. You basically need 4 stars on a siginificant of them to unlock the full roster.

But it is fun, Only Mario Kart is better than this if you like kart racers.

If you three star every event up until the 200 star gate in Superstar Showdown you can unlock every character in World Tour. All the way up to AGES.

You don't need to four star anything unless you're going for console mods and/or 100% completion.

No you cannot. I've done every event at least 3 stars, and some 4 stars (prior to the last section), and I'm still missing quite a bit in that last section.

Unless you decide to invest a ton of time doing every event at the 4 star level, you will not unlock everything.

The game is fun, and in some instances better than Mario. But if you're obsessive about unlocking everything, be prepared to destroy a controller or two from throwing them at something, after the AI cheats a few times in a row...

You won't unlock everything, but you can still unlock all the characters in World Tour by A ranking everything. You do still have to do Grand Prix to unlock Eggman and Avatar/Mii, but you never have to touch S rank to unlock any character, just their console mods.

Make sure you did EVERY single event possible up until AGES. There are some gates that you have to go back and open later on. I literally just did this on the PC version after getting all 232 stars on my 360 copy, so I'm pretty confident about it.

Edit: I can even do the math to prove it. There are 232 stars total, 4 for each event, so there are 58 events. 2 of those events you can't get to without at least 200 stars, so there are 56 events that are playable before you get to the last character. If you A rank each of those events you end up with 168 stars, which is 3 more than you actually need to unlock AGES.
