neogeo gold x special edition

I’m one of the dummies who bought this day one (I was so hyped for it) along with a second stick.

I did get a fair bit of use of it and pick up the the hand held once or twice a week to play for like 15 minutes, but in no way could I recommend it.

However, http://www.snkplaymoreusa.com/termination-of-the-license-agreement-between-tommo-inc-and-snk-playmore-usa-corp so it looks like it's supposed to be taken off store shelves as of Oct. 2nd.That sucks because I actually planned on getting the Mega Pack at some point (only way to get in Canada is order off US amazon).

So for $100, kept in the package, you could probably double or triple your money in 10-20 years. Woopty-fuckin-doo.,

Yeah its not the best system in the world but I can honestly say I will never own an aes. Mvs and neogeo cd are a pain In the ass to collect for because there are soooooo many fake games. So I figgured this would be a good budget option to play on my tv with an arcade stick.

Ya I'm 33 , some of my earliest memories are of Atari2600, Vic 20 , the arcade & home two player pong (I gotta really good memory, which sucks at times, some things you're better off forgetting).

Growing up in a middle class family I had hard-on dreams of owning an AES with a complete collection of games but I knew the only chance of that happening was if my family won the lottery.

Long story short, after having a realistic dream of making six figures & affording whatever the fuck I want to now having no future (unless they cure MS in the next 5-10 years), on disability living below poverty - I actually enjoyed the NGX.

You guys who have one or plan on getting one - r you getting the Mega Pack? The firmware is supposed to fix the input lag, audio glitches & hdmi glitches which are it's biggest problems.

I thought about the mega pack but I think I am going to go the adapter route instead.

I am going to get it. The question is when. Im on the fence just like you kronic, but I will probably bite the bullet in fear of its price rising because of it gettin pulled.

Lol does anyone know what the law says in this situation?

I got my stick. Never ever seen the original but I do own a couple sticks and a Hori Real Arcade Pro SA for reference. This feels about worth the $30 I paid. It's kinda small and cute. The joystick is a little rough feeling and the buttons have a ton of travel and resistance. Not something you'd want to use in a competitive fighting game.

In this case, if both Tomoyo and SNK signed on an agreement till 2016 Tomoyo is in the right. Unless the termination clause has been fiddled with by SNK.

Anyways I'm glad I've got the Japanese Neo Geo 2 fight stick. The stick isn't that great and there's no click nostalgia sound but the buttons are smooth, ultra responsive and it weighs what it should weigh...

Shame it's sold out and I never found one locally. Almost tempted to never use it.

Oh well, there's always hope for Neo Geo 3?
