Resident Evil 6 for PS3, Why has this game been delisted?

So, I decided recently to convert most of my cross playform games to their Playstation alternative (personal reasons having to do with really starting to distruct Microsoft).

Anyways, I've been trying to find Resident Evil 6  NEW for the PS3 for cheap. However every store I've gone to (Best Buy, Toys R Us, GameStop, etc) no longer have new copies in their inventory... so what is going on?

To make things even more strange, I saw the 360 version for $8 at BestBuy so I thought the PS3 version would be equal price. I went to the local Best Buy (an hour away) found a whole row of RE6s for PS3.

I picked one up, brought it to the check out only for them to say they cannot sell it to me. The sku was no longer in the store's inventory... nor could they order a copy online to be sent to me.

So.. what exactly is going on?
I'd love to get the game for $8 but.. geeze this is annoying and tedius.

Because it sucks.

It's out of print, so whatever stock they had is all that they will ever have. As far as best Buy, who knows, but Gamestop probably just doesn't have any new copies.

If you are determined for a brand new one, Amazon or eBay are your best bets, but you may have good luck getting a used one in good condition at Gameslop.

Gamestop repriced the new as used...and its not THAT bad...the worst RE yes but not that bad
