PS4 Camera now available at Gamestop for pickup @store.

I "picture" this being a low seller.
I assume it will sell decently at first since there are plenty of suckers like me who want the "full" experience of the new console. I'm sure i'll regret my purchase by 11/16 when I realize the uses for it are gimmicky at best.

Cheapy posted an online Gamestop coupon that might be useful for this last week. Does anyone have coupon codes?

Can anyone tell me what the camera adds to the system? Does it require a PS Move controller for maximum enjoyment? I don't own and never plan on owning PS Move stuff to further clutter my TV space, so I'm interested in knowing if that's a big component to the camera's feature set.

Thanks!

I still have my Playstation Move controllers sealed, along with the sharpshooter still in its box :dunce:

I look forward to many more posts like this in the deals thread in the coming weeks which involve no deals.

Got my camera yesterday. $59 and some change thanks to some leftover credit, which basically paid for the tax. This is the only thing this launch that I've paid pretty much MSRP for. The camera is sitting pretty on top of my TV right now. Surprised at how tiny it is, and glad it comes with a nifty little TV mount.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can use the lightbar on the top of the DualShock 4 controller to mimic a PS3 Move controller. You can also use PS3 Move controllers with the PS4 camera.

There really isn't much coming out for launch that will utilize the camera besides the baked in game "The Playroom" (which admittedly look pretty fun). These minigames even utilize your smartphone (probably with the upcoming iOS & Android PlayStation app) that will further interact with the games. Plus, there will be free DLC coming in the future from Double Fine!
