Got an email with a printable coupon/barcode that will give a cert worth $5-$5000. Here are the details.

Bring the Mystery Rewards certificate to your nearest Best Buy® store by 11/16/13. Ask a Customer Specialist to scan it to reveal the value. If the value of the Mystery Rewards certificate is: $5 to $500, you may redeem it immediately through 11/16/13 at participating Best Buy stores (not valid online) 250,000 My Best Buy points (that's $5000 in My Best Buy certificates), please call the toll-free number printed on your receipt by 11:59 PM (PT) on 11/22/13 Redeem your certificate in a single transaction with a total purchase price equal to or greater than the value of the certificate.

I do not know what triggers it. I am Elite Plus.

Thanks. I did not get the email yet but I usually get these a few day after the first CAGs get them so I'll be on the lookout. I don't think anything really triggers it other than being an active customer. They seem to send one of these out every quarter

 
My "what's the value" barcode ends in 281.

I seem to recall people comparing them last time they did this.

EDIT: I am elite plus for what it's worth.

Mine as well. Seems the odds are that is the $5 one. Or we could be 2 of the 30 $5,000 ones. Wishful thinking.
 
Just check my email & sure enough there was the Mystery RC, but pretty much it's going to be $5 like the other three I receive other the years.

An Elite Plus also & "281" is the last three of the barcode. If ppl post more "281". Than its roughly going to be $5 to everyone.
 
Interesting, my account, which I use to only purchase things online got the giftcard, but my mom's account which is Elite, has a BB Credit Card, and Gamers Club Unlocked, got nothing. Maybe it's because I recently earned $40 worth of GCs on that Account? Either way, I also got a 281. Definitely has to be $5. Still better than nothing, I'll try it out as soon as the store opens.
 
I got that mystery reward coupon today as well. I am elite plus, and mine ends in 281 as well.

I got 281 as well.  It looks like that is definitely the $5 one.  Oh well, with my $10 gift card, another $5 certificate, a price match for $10 off a game 59.99 or more from TRU, and this I could pick up GTAV for $29.99.  That doesn't sound too bad to me.

 
The email will have one of two subjects:

"Mystery Reward Inside: $5–$5000 in certificat​es" (you got a free cert)

"Take a Peek at Our Hottest Picks" (you didn't)

 
@rockstarnati: maybe, I got one of them in my one account/email and one in the other.  Other than the subject line and first image in the email, the rest of them were the same.

I'm guessing you can't use these on pre-orders since it says "in stock items only." Can anyone confirm. If not what about preordering a game with the $5 down and then using this on release day before 11/16? That should work right?

You can try, but it most likely will be a waste of time. The latter will work though.

It didn't let me use the last $5 certificate to preorder in store, but it let me use it to preorder online with store pickup.
