Subject: An invitation from Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly.

Over the past year, Best Buy has been on a journey to transform itself into the kind of retailer that you, your friends and your family would want to shop for technology products and services. We believe we have begun to make progress on this journey and want to take this opportunity to invite you to visit our stores.

To inspire you to see for yourself how we are changing, please accept this offer to save $10 on any purchase you make by December 24, 2013 on BestBuy.com or in one of our stores. If you like what you find, let us know by writing to [email protected]. If you do not, let us know too!
Just got the email with a unique code, expires 12/24/13. I am Elite plus until 2015. I have never received any promo certificate, this is the first ever that I recall. Let the conspiracy conspiracies begin...

In before the entitled whiny morons starts whining here.

Edit: And I didn't get one. Oh wells. I'm hoping I get my pre-order bonus and the 3 for $25 and the 20% off stacked when I pick up my PS4 games on Friday.

I wish just deals were posted here and this wasn't used as the main hangout for everyone and dumping ground for chats.
I typically see threads get made for coupons like this. Some people may miss this due to spam filtering. The email looks like a promotion as well. "An invitation from Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly" I don't know if I would have clicked on it without knowing it might be a coupon beforehand.

Thanks OP! It's illegal in my state to check your email until you see a random post to do so on the Internet. I would have never gotten this had you not given me the green light to check.

SOB! AND TO BELIEVE I ACTUALLY INVITED HUBERT OVER FOR THANKSGIVING. HA INVITATION RESCINDED. UNGRATEFUL MOFO

This is the third time I've seen someone post something like from Best Buy this in the past two years. I have never gotten a single thing and I spend at least $400 there a year on movies and games. That isn't as much as some people but I'd consider myself a pretty loyal customer. I feel gypped.

I didn't get one, and I've been shopping at Best Buy since 1975. I walked Hubert Joly to the first Best Buy grand opening in 1966. Who the fuck are you?

You're nothing.

Shame on you.

I wish people wouldn't complain about something that doesn't really affect their life at all. I also wish people were more careful with their wishes. In addition I wish people who complained about irrelevant posts and threads stopped actually posting those replies and encouraging people like me to do things like this which is the opposite of what those people wished for in the first place. Then I wish... wait, only three, what a rip off . . .

tldr version - It is a thread about getting $10 anything at BB, with these people it will prolly be video games. $10 off a video game is a ... wait for it ... A DEAL!!!! Awesome, on to 2nd grade.

Huh.... My mom got this. I didn't even know she was signed up for their emails. I'll have to check my spambox now. (probably got nothing)

I frequent reddit.com/r/gamedeals if I want a comprehensive overview of current PC game deals. Unfortunately console stuff rarely gets posted there due to the mods' requirement that the deal be available to at least 1% of the board (No Gamefly used game deals that only last 20 min.)

Occassionally I check out Slickdeals.net.

Kotaku.com updates their Moneysaver page around 1:15pm ET everyday.and lists not just PC and console deals, but PC parts, media, and various items of interest.

All of the previously mentioned websites may be in line for what you're looking for in regards to just showing the deals.

Nothing for me this time, but thanks for the heads up OP.

And I believe it does help for these to get posted.  If you are on CAG everyday, you probably check your email frequently and wouldn't need the notice.  But if you didn't get the email and it wasn't posted here, how could you know to tell anyone else who might not check their email very frequently about it.  I know when my nephew gets up, I'll have him check his email for it.  Now how could I give him a heads up, had this not be posted, since I didn't get one?  Thanks again OP.

The reason people complain about these posts is because they are almost completely useless. There is absolutely nothing one can do to get in on these deals. Email coupons are (for argument's sake-I'm sure there is some kind of logic to who does and does not get these but it's rarely obvious) random and once discovered it's too late to get in on it. Either you got one or you didn't. These posts really belong in the deal bragging rights section, so yes people get annoyed because they miss out for no reason. These posts are one notch above news posts that also don't belong in this forum. Frankly, if you are too stupid to check you email every so often you probably don't deserve to get a free and easy discount like this. Should I have to remind people that they should keep breathing too? Patrick, Patrick breathe!

I don't mean to rant or really give the OP too much grief because he's obviously not the first (and sadly won't be the last) to post about a deal that cannot be obtained unless you already got it, but I will defend people who get annoyed by useless posts because they are completely in the right and as long as they don't harass the OP about it I don't see a problem with the complaints.

Btw, for those that don't recognize me or don't know my style my first post in this thread was meant to be a sarcastic jab with no malice whatsoever. I like to post things like that to make people chuckle a little and have no intention of coming off as a jerk but we all know that text has no inflection and can very easily be misinterpreted (which is why I tend to hesitate whether or not to post those kinds of comments).

has anyone who opted out of promo emails from bb receive this? i opted out of bb emails because of spam and have not receive any free rz certificates lately

Thanks for nothing Hubert!

Just kidding. Got nothing. I'm more anxious for the GCU coupon to arrive than this, so no big deal.

Thanks for the heads up though.
