Wii U Deluxe Mario & Luigi bundle $249 at Walmart online ($289 + $40 gift card in store)

Pretty decent deal for someone in the lookout for a WiiU.

I expect a 199$ price drop early next year as sales still aren't so great.

Future Shop will also match this, and they protect the price until January 5.

That's what I did for the Zelda bundle.

I really doubt that will happen since all the Wii U games that everybody wants are coming out early next year. I think this is a reasonable price and I will grab the mario and lugi bundle since it is the year of luigi.

I've considered this bundle but there's not even 5 games worth buying a Wii U for.

Plus you throw in Nintendo's past - they all but completely stopped supporting Wii after only 4 years of the 6 years it was on the market, and on top of Wii being NIntendo's 2nd most successful platform of all time (which doesn't give much of a future for Wii U which is a complete failure at this point ) - it's hard to throw my hard earned money at Nintendo at this point.

ZombiU, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate, Pikmin 3, New Super Luigi U, The Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD, and now Super Mario 3D World are all worth buying, among others.

And FYI, Skyward Sword and Xenoblade Chronicles, among others, are two of the best games of the past console generation, period, that came out 5 and 6 years, respectively, after the Wii first launched.

Anyway. Thanks for the heads up, OP. Great deal, and I'd be on it if I didn't already own a Wii U.

People still coming in a Nintendo thread just to troll Nintendo? I thought this was over 6 months ago lol.

$420 will get you a console and 4 games (Mario U, Luigi U, 2 full priced retail games of your choice). Best holiday value right there.

Not quite the sweet spot for me yet, if someone does $200 for the Mario bundle over Boxing Week I'll definitely bite though.  Otherwise I'm waiting for Kart and Smash before making the plunge.

Super Mario Brothers U

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Super Mario 3D World

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Pikmin 3

Wonderful101
TBH none of those games even remotely interest me except Wind Waker. But I still bought a Wii U in preparation for Smash Bros.

Is this part of the black friday sale? Do u think bestbuy will price match it online for the zelda bundle?

Best Buy will price match it, if you're lucky they won't look if it's in stock, (even though it was when I bought it).

That's the price of a PS Vita so I doubt a home console that released last year would drop that low.

If you were unable to get a WiiU at Wal-Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart also has the Wii U on sale this weekend (so last day today…) for $249.88. The image in the flyer shows the Deluxe bundle with Nintendoland, so I’m not sure if that’s the only model actually on sale though.

Also on sale:

DSI: $69.88

3DS: $119.88

XBox 360 4GB Kinect console: $199.88

PS3 12GB console: $179.88

These sale prices are only for Nov 23-24

Only Super Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3 would actually be worth buying a Wii U for. The others may be worth buying, for cheap, if you already own the console. It`s all subjective

Among “what others” are Wii releases in 2011 & 2012? Wii had barely anything after 2010 - any reasonable person can see it`s because all their studios were focused on 3DS development at that time & third parties had moved on to Kinect & phone/tablet gaming since Wii couldn’t compete with Xbox 360 & PS3 anymore.

That’s not acceptable for me as a consumer, especially when you have X360 and PS3 getting releases like Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Last of Us, Diablo 3, GTA V, etc. which are as good as, arguably better than anything on Wii, 7 – 8 + years after they debuted. That’s how you support a platform. Not saying Wii and Wii U aren’t worth buying at all (a real gamer could make an argument that any platform – even Jaguar or 3D0 are worth buying), but you’d have to be blind not to see they have garbage support compared to the competition.

And this generation is far from over when you still have Persona 5, Titan Fall, “among others” still coming in the next year.

Welcome to the internet, where any time someone has a different opinion or states historical facts that you aren`t happy with, it`s `trolling`.

It'd be subjective if you were only arguing your personal preference in the matter, but you've posited it as if there are literally not even 5 games worth buying for the Wii U, when that simply isn't true according to atleast those in charge of critiquing the software for the system.

I don't personally own The Wonderful 101, for example, but I acknowledge that it's a Wii U title worth owning to most. Just like I don't own Skyrim or GTAV, yet I'm not ignorant to the plaudits either of those titles have received.

It's usually barren towards the end of any console's cycle. It's no PS3, though I was more than fine with Skyward Sword, Kirby's Dream Collection, Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. Considering the year the Wii had before all that:

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars
Monster Hunter Tri
Trauma Team
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
Metroid: Other M
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Donkey Kong Country Returns
I wasn't short on a backlog of titles to play through. Let's also keep in mind the number of people working at Nintendo, altogether, and the number of people Sony and Microsoft both employ to a number of divisions with-in their company's gaming end. It's been a David vs Two Goliaths scene for some time now.

I have no doubt Persona 5 will be great, but will you or anyone you know actually be playing Titanfall on the 360?

I think there's definitely some truth to that statement. Look at the Wii U's launch line-up compared to the XB1 and PS4's. Zeboyd Games' Robert Boyd wouldn't be the first to say it either. Yet gamers everywhere, it seemed, still picked on Nintendo at the time, and it's become a trend for many since. Infact, we won't be seeing anything notable from both PS4 and XB1 for more than 3 months. Sound familiar?

I don't think you're trolling, though you probably could be giving Nintendo a fairer shake, even if what they put out isn't your thing.
