"During the Xbox One count down launch event Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb announced a partnership with McDonald’s for a new contest that will let you win a free Xbox One. The contest will start on December 3rd and will end on December 23rd, right in time for Christmas.

McDonald’s customers that will get a Premium McWrap, a Quarter Pounder Burger, or medium fries during the period of the contest will be able to participate by using this website.

It’s not a bad way to get an early holiday present, isn’t it? I guess it’s not a very healthy way as well, but you’ll have to decide if a new console is worth a few more pounds of meat on your ribs." - Dualshockers

"With over 140 million total games pieces, including thousands of Xbox One entertainment systems and a myriad of other Xbox prizes, everyone wins. Players can enter the code found on the game label to redeem prizes using their smart phone, tablet, or computer at www.onehotholiday.com and can share out what they have won with their online social community.

Followers of McDonald’s Twitter handle, @McDonalds, who use #WinAtMcDs, will have an additional chance to win an Xbox One system. To learn more about the McDonald’s ‘One Hot Holiday’ Instant Win Promotion, including game details and how to play without purchase, customers can visit www.onehotholiday.com starting Nov. 25, 2013." - Globalnation

Odds of winning Xbox One 1:10,001. To receive a Game Piece without a purchase, mail a legibly hand printed SASE with sufficient postage and a return address, including: First and last name, street address, city, state, and zip or postal code to: McDonald’s® One Hot Holiday Instant Win Game Piece Request, PO Box #51510 Sparks, NV 89435 must be postmarked no sooner than 11/25/13, and no later than 12/23/13. One request per outer envelope. VT residents may omit return postage. See full rules for complete details. Limit: 500 requests per person.

Not too bad odds considering but the way to get a game piece cracks me up.  At 500 requests, it's 92 cents to send 1 request including the SASE.  That's $460 spent on stamps, not including the cost of the envelopes.  Might as well just buy the system at that point.

I might have to try this...now to look for a deal on stamps! Do we need two per each, one for the actual envelope and do we need another envelope inside that?

So for SASE, you just fill in return address and not the top left corner correct? And basses on standard envelope sizes, don't you need the$0.33 stamps? And anyone think it's possible to win the Xbox one through this method? or they won't let anyone win through this method?

(S)elf (A)ddressed (S)tamped (E)nvelope :)

It says in the rules:

Beginning November 25, 2013, a Participant can request a Game Piece without buying a food item at a participating McDonald’s restaurant by mailing a legibly hand printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope (“SASE”) with sufficient postage and a return address, including first and last name, street address, city, state, and ZIP Code to: McDonald’s® One Hot Holiday Instant Win Game Piece Request, PO Box #51510, Sparks, NV 89435. Limit five hundred (500) Game Piece requests per person. DO NOT SEND ANY WINNING GAME PIECES, COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS TO THIS ADDRESS. One (1) Game Piece will be mailed in response to each mail-in request that complies with the requirements of these Official Rules, while supplies last. Mail-in requests, including both outer envelope and SASE, must be legibly hand printed. Outer envelope must include a return address in the upper left hand corner that matches the requestor’s street address, and must be postmarked no sooner than November 25, 2013, and no later than December 23, 2013, and received by Sponsor no later than January 3, 2014. If, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the Game is extended beyond December 23, 2013, these dates are subject to a corresponding extension. Requests from Vermont (VT) residents that are postmarked in VT may omit return postage. Requests from VT residents that are postmarked outside of VT and omit return postage may be required to provide proof of VT residency to Sponsor’s reasonable satisfaction before requests may be fulfilled. Each request must be mailed in a separate stamped outer mailing envelope. Requests that are sent in business reply envelopes, that utilize address labels or stickers (for any address), that are photocopied, hand-stamped, computer-generated or otherwise mechanically or digitally produced or reproduced, that are not mailed in separate outer stamped mailing envelopes, or that otherwise fail to comply with these Official Rules will NOT be honored, acknowledged or returned, and the persons submitting such requests will forfeit any corresponding postage and unused envelopes.
So it looks like it has to be an envelope, which means around .46 cents per stamp or .92 per entry plus costs of envelopes. Also you can't type info onto the envelope, it has to be handwritten and legible.

It's $0.46 to send a letter so $0.92 for each game piece for stamps alone.

DL games listed are: The Maw, Ms Splosion Man, and Aqua

Would really suck if these are the only games and you keep getting codes for them.

I got a code for the The Maw and it expires 01/24/14. I have to double check to see if I have it and if I do I'll trade it for Ms Splosion Man if anyone gets a duplicate. Otherwise, I'll give it away in the free forum section in Jan.

teah I was hoping the .33 stamps could cover it :( sent 20 out on Saturday so let's see how long it'll take for a failure turnaround

I won two Ms.Sposion Man! First time trying the premium chicken wrap, pretty good...and the sauce actually got my mouth on fire.

So it's one stamp for the outer envelope and one other stamp for the inner envelope? Yeah, I miss the easier method of using postcards.

Me and my brother went to MCD today we got The Maw (x2), Ms.Splosion Man, and the pilot for Enlisted.

Redeemed 2 codes and hour ago and still havnt been sent a code to redeem on Xbox.

Got two fries and two quarter pounders and won The Maw, Ms Explosion man, the aqua and the enlisted pilot... not bad... did anyone else notice how fucking annoying it is to enter all of your information for each game piece?

the rules say it could take 72 hours for the code to be sent to you and in some cases 10 days.... big jump in time frame but I swear that's what it says lol

So far I've got Ms. Splosion Man (x2), Aqua, a download of a HD episode of a Fox show, and 1 month xbl.

I don't want an Xbone, and I am not sure my guts can handle McD's more than once every few months, but I might have to play a few times in the next few weeks.

I could always try to swap it for a PS4.

I wouldn't mind winning some XB Music/XBL codes.  Too bad I'd have to either eat at McDonalds or take game pieces off trash. :p

To those that won XBLA games, did the piece tell you that you won?
It does say you won.. but technically it says you potentially won it once you entered in the site... but It says subject to verification which I'm sure is to just make sure you don't work at McDs and are over 13

oh so I says that you potentially won an arcade game? like it specifies the potential exact prize?

Not sure if my stomach exploding is worth a small xbox prize or a "fox tv episode"
Maybe for an xbox one.
Maybbbbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeee.
I live right by a MCD,it's in walking distance, but,I don't want the "MCsickness" nether*

*to understand said reference!look up the documentary super size me

Here is one of the game pieces ... it does say the game you won.. but once you enter it on the site it says "congratulations you are a potential winner... blah blah subject to verification" like I said though I'm pretty sure that's just legal mumbo jumbo to make sure you're not an employee of McDonalds and such... I have not received the actual xbox live code yet but it does say that it takes 72 hours to be delivered to your email

And BTW I will be giving that maw code away once I get it since I already have the game

ok cool thanks. now I know that mail in pieces have a chance if just being losers :| unless they send them like before they stickem on the packages

Yeah, did two medium fries AKA overpaying (or is it)? instead of getting a large so I could get two codes. I won Enlisted 101 Pilot for Xbox Video and Ms Splosion Man. It's really annoying to enter your info twice, and It's been over 24 hours since I put in my codes but they said the e-mail takes up to 72 hours before receiving.

Yea I won two episodes and the game aqua. Atleast the tag tells you what it's suppose to be that you won. I wonder how the console pieces were dispersed around the US. And how many ppl who could care less about an Xbox are throwing them away lol

Not to turn this into a code drop thread but I figure someone might try to get a full season of a show (or a decent discount off one).  Here's the McD code for a free Fox HD episode: 22Y28H9JNT.

Damn, these must be bottom of the barrel arcade games since 7-11 is giving out copies of Aqua, Ms. 'Splosion Man, and The Maw as well. I went over to McDonald's last night and won a 1-month of Gold. Gave it to a friend who needed it.

I can trade a FOX show for Ms. Splosion.

Also have two Maw codes if anyone wants to trade.

Dude come on... the only two post you have on this site are you wanting to trade? And you have been lurking this site for OVER a year? Be grateful and give those away

Dang, I was the first to ask for Ms Splosion Man and out of all the ones given I didn't receive one. Oh, well. Off to Mickey D's to increase my cholesterol so I can get it. If anyone wants my The Maw be the first to guess my lucky number. I won't create a separate contest thread so just PM me and I'll announce a winner when it happens. It's between 7-9.
