War Thunder PS4 for free

They never have before. at least not for making a fake account to get things from other regions.

I doubt they'd ban for this for many reasons, especially since it's a free to play game anyway.  It will be out here in the US at some point, I guess if you're dying for some War Thunder action you can go through the trouble of getting it now, but for most I don't see that it would be even worth the bother.

That's also assuming it's not region locked like they did with the Metal Gear Rising demo. I assume they anticipated people using fake accounts for it and tried to stem the flood of people from outside the region downloading it since they'd have it in their own in a couple of weeks.

I saw people post this about ms for years. And it was true. Until it wasn't.
I only know about Sony, I've heard a lot of conflicting reports about MS in this regard, but I always assumed they had other ways of enforcing it that didn't involve banning or at least not long tern bans.

sony has no interest in banning people for this.

especially since it's a free game to begin with.

sony didn't (and doesn't) ban for game sharing, making regional accounts, or taking advantage of pricing mistakes. they prefer happy customers spending their money in whatever region they feel like doing so.

I can't help but feel you're not getting the point. The reason everyone is mentioning this is because their possible reaction to this, while a spectrum of possibilities is up to their discretion.
Ask yourself this: if you get banned for this, will you wish you never did it?

I'm not telling anyone to do it, that's on him or you or anyone that decides to. All I'm doing is comparing What sony has done to nebulous reports of what MS might do in a similar situation. As I said I have no idea what MS would actually do, all I know is I've had both Japanese and HK PSN accounts and never once feared being banned because I've not done anything that by their terms would require me to be.
