3DS XL SD card format Help...

Before I setup my 3ds xl should i format the 4gb card that comes with in in my pc?  I plan on upgrading to a 32gb fairly soon.  Last time i wanted to format a card right from the 3ds it asked me to format it when it put it in my pc not allowing me to transfer my data.  Any help would be very much appreciated.  Thanks

Yes it would probably be quicker. Once you get the 32gb, just format it in the pc and copy the files over.
