Did Best Buy stop selling Amazon.com gift cards?

no sometimes they just don't order a lot. I also had a lot of credit to convert one of the workers said if you don't see any cards on the racks that's all there is until their next shipment they don't carry any more of them in the back.

no, i've seen them in multiple departments.  By the photography section, by the computer gaming section, by the kindle/ipad section.  Sometimes you just have to walk around a store and look a little.

Check the Computer/Tablet department. Kinda cards are the same thing, Amazon Credit, not only for use on Kindles. I know some stores tend to sell out of these near the holidays.

They usually keep them either on the Gift Card racks or mixed in with the Computers/Tablets stuff (like in the Nook/Kindle section, which sits beside the Apple stuff usually at my store). Too bad there's no X amount increments...only $25 and $50, but if you can invest a few bucks out of pocket toward Amazon credit conversion, it's usually worth it.

I know this thread is extremely old,but I assumed it would be better to bump then make a new one. Wanted to give everyone a heads up even more so with the holiday season  coming.

Last month I had gone to BestBuy to get some Amazon gift cards to buy some computer accessories that BestBuy didn't stock. There were none out so I asked someone. He said they did not have any.

Last week I went back again and had the same issue. Seemed a little strange. So I went out to my car and called a second BestBuy and they were also out.

I contacted the 1800 number on BestBuy's website, and the lady who took my call also said she could not find them and they were not getting any in, but she seemed very confused on exactly what they were.

Just to make sure I got a hold of Amazon who also said that BestBuy no longer carried the gift cards. I just wanted to give everyone else a heads up who might run to BestBuy for them either because it is convenient or to get Reward Zone points on them that you may be out of luck this holiday season.

Yeah, I couldn't find any in my local best buy either.  Called another, they didn't have them as well.

It seems like a really bad move on BestBuy's part even more so right around the holiday season. Yeah they price match, but it has to be sold by Amazon. I can usually get a better deal through Warehouse deals or another Prime Third Party.

This was a way I could give BestBuy some business and still get the best price on a larger selection.

Between that and them cutting down selection in other aisles to make room for stuff like their Samsung booth I'm sure people will still come this holiday season, but it seems to be shrinking more and more.

I was told by a BBY rep that they were purchased a lot with fraudulent Visa/Mastercard gift cards so the company decided to nix them.

Makes some sense, but yeah... Amazon is a direct competitor, so it's likely because of people like us that would do trade ins, then immediately convert the credit to Amazon GCs (as well as the frauder marauders) that forced them to just get rid of them altogether.

Just found out about this today, a slight annoyance.  Had $15 in RZ certificates, ended up getting a Steam gift card instead.
