I had a PS3 this past gen, and bought a 3DS in October for Pokemon/Zelda. Seeing as I've never owned a Nintendo console, I figured this might be a good year to try out the games I've missed. Here are a few things I couldn't find answered on Nintendo's site.

1) Once I link an NNID to the Wii U, can I redownload my Virtual Consoles games from there?

2) Can I copy Miis from 3DS to Wii U?

3) I plan on playing old Wii stuff while waiting for the Wii U library to expand. Am I good to go with just the Wiimote and nunchuck?

4) What's the likelihood of Gamecube on the eShop?

5) For Monster Hunter 3: Gamepad or Pro controller?

Feel free to fill me in on any quirks/annoyances I should know about before taking the plunge.

Get the system, it's fun.

1) you can transfer your Wii VC games to WiiU but they will be accessed via a separate menu screen. (You can upgrade some to WiiU for a $1 or $1.50 once they're available.)

2) I don't think Mii's transfer.

3) Yes, Wii-mote and nun-chuck are enough to play Wii games.

4) I doubt we'll see GC games anytime soon... if ever.

5) I believe the consensus is Gamepad, but I don't have that game.

Monster Hunter, pro controller no debate. Amazing game, I've been with this series since the first one on PS2. Logged like 300 hours in two months and did mostly everything. You'll love it

Thanks for the answers, everyone! Snagged a Zelda bundle for $270 from Newegg. Didn't expect to buy one so soon, but Wonderful 101, Ninja Gaiden, and Wind Waker included was what did it for me.

Congrats on getting in a great deal! Haven't played Ninja Gaiden, but The Wonderful 101 and Wind Waker HD were two of the best home console releases last year.  Get Super Mario 3D World for $40 at Target this week if you've still got some change lying around.
