Knack PS4 $39.99 at GameStop for PUR

"New" as in no shrink wrap. Sticker right on the cover covered in fingerprints, and pull the new game out of the drawer under the counter that's in an envelope?

I couldn't get the knack of this game. Very disappointed. First game I've bought and traded in without having originally purchased for the sole purpose of flipping in years.

Got the email too, but it's so obvious this is destined to be a free PS+ game I wouldn't even bother at this point.

I don't know, I want it but will wait for $20. Even then, yes I know it will be free on Plus sometime but do I really want to wait on a 40GB download? I guess either way, I'd have to install it right? The PS4's 500GB HDD seems smaller every day, even upgrading to 2TB wouldn't make a huge difference. I mean, if nearly every game I play is 40GB that's about 10 games installed on 500GB, 20-25 on 1TB, 50 on 2TB. I suppose it would be worth it to upgrade in the long run.

Though, could just wait until 2017, get a $199 PS4 Slim with 2TB built in anyway

I bought this at launch and had a blast with it. This is an incredibly fun game and a nice change from the regular shooters. I really hope Sony turns this into a franchise.

There are better games to take a break from shooters with like Assassins Creed 4 and Lego Marvel Superheroes.

Knack is also the only one of those that can't just be played on a PS3 however. I just used gamefly to try Knack and really enjoyed it. I will pick it up when it gets cheap to get all the trophies, but I could easily see it worth 40 for somebody who hasn't played it. Challenging and fun.

Just such a disappointing game and left a bad taste as my first PS4 game. It was the first retail title I didn't bother to finish in a while. I'm a big platformer/action game player and I couldn't stand it.

One-hit kills and back to the checkpoint? No gameplay evolution for hours? And the first time I've ever seen a button combination of the RIGHT STICK FOLLOWED BY A FACE BUTTOM. Think about how stupid that is. Once I learned it went on for more than 10 hours that was it.

Going to try and get a price match on it.  I bought a copy just about 2 weeks ago when they were doing the trade 2 thing, so I am hoping they'll let me do it.  Otherwise, I'll just return/rebuy.

And for the people hating this game, I know some of you played it, but it seems like a lot of people are just saying that it sucks because they read a review.  I've been playing the game and it's fun.  Sure there's no evolution, but learning the enemy patterns and stuff is fun and makes the game stay challenging.  It's like an older game where you find a particularly hard part and finally beat it with your skill, you get excited, like beating a boss in Megaman that's beaten you 20 times. I mean, to each their own, but I can see this game worth $40.  It's lighthearted for the most part, and the areas are bright and fun, unlike so many other games that are on the system that are just greys and blacks and serious shooters.

Assassins Creed is the same thing Ubisoft has been doing the past seven years. Knack to me just felt like something different and a nice call back to the PS1 days.

Not to add to the dislike of this game but it isn't worth more than $10. It's one of those generic launch games that everyone wants b/c there aren't other games in the genre on the console yet. Game was a clunky mess. It had "potential" (damn I overuse that word) but it was just a rush job.

Why does everyone keep saying that? The game's not old at all.
In part because Sony has already shown that they're willing to give the game away for free to Japanese gamers when the PS4 launches there.

If you keep your options open, you should be able to score Knack for cheaper than $40.  I personally got a copy on eBay for $27 earlier this week, but I also saw the game up for grabs on Craigslist for the same price.

Anyone have luck price matching this ad at somewhere like Bestbuy?
Doubt they'd price match a membership only deal
Buy it at GS & use the receipt for a pm in BB. Right now BB is the place to go since they take $20 off when you buy a DS4. Get the pm 1st knocking the price down to $40 then add other items along with the DS4 the price will package out taking the $20 off the $40 vs $60.

It doesn't work that way.
