Netflix vs Amazon Prime

Overall value I would say Amazon Prime but as far as content goes I think Netflix is. Somebody was telling me that Amazon is going to start there own shows like Netflix but I guess time will tell. I had the two at one point but as far as navigation and content goes Netflix was always number one, I only used Amazon if there was a movie I couldn't find.

If you watch on or through a computer, Get Netflix + Google Chrome + Hola extension for Chrome. You'll be able to watch US Netflix of course but with the Hola extension it unblocks other countries like Canada and the UK Netflix which have different/better movies than we have. You can easily switch between countries, it's really great.

To simply answer your question, Netflix. It has more content although Prime does have some things that Netflix doesn't.

Personally I prefer Amazon Instant because it's free with Prime, which also rocks. On top of that, I like the format better. Amazon Instant basically tells me what to watch with great recommendations. I feel like I had to do more searching with Netflix.

First off, I just wanted to say thank you. I never knew you could do that with Chrome, and it's opened so much more for me.

Onto the OP, I prefer Netflix myself. I have both, primarily because I have Prime for College, and I just don't think Prime's options come close to Netflix.

Which is better, Netflix or Amazon Prime?
Netflix is $8/mo, which amounts to $96/yr. They do have a lot of content, but certain things Prime doesn't. And they do tend to discontinue movie licenses, so anything you may wanna watch that is old...best to watch it while you can in case it sneaks off the service.

Amazon Prime is $79/yr (up front). The service does offer plenty of content to stream free in SD and HD...in addition, free Kindle books and FREE 2-Day shipping or $4 One-Day shipping. Their trade off is they don't have the level of content that Netflix does, but for those who do a lot of Amazon shopping, it's a great service.

=/ If you're a college student, they do offer it for $39/yr as long as you can access a .edu email address; after a while, you will need to submit documentation that proves you're still in school or they will charge you the normal rate when it comes time to do so.
