This is the first deal I've posted, so I apologize in advance if this has already been done (I did search the forums though and didn't see anything).

Yesterday I saw Tomb Raider (PS3) brand new for $14.99 at Target on temporary price cut. I know Best Buy recently had it for cheaper during their DOTD but this was the exclusive steelbook version so it might be worth a little more to some people.

very ymmv. Most of the targets in my area sold out of these months ago and they're not being restocked. Those that still had some were on display in the plastic cases which means they'll have a big dent in the back from being squeezed into the case

This game is okay.  I got it for $10 a while back from Amazon.  I finished it and resold it on eBay.  I would say $10 is about right for it.  $15 with a steel book is probably okay too.  I don't think I'd pay 20 for it though.

My target still has tons of the steelbook copies, was able to get one for 360 and PS3 when they had the $1 price match over the summer. Probably some available at other targets as well.

Any thing more than $1 is too much. :D/
Wat? The game isn't that good. If you're an extreme OCD guy that likes to spend 10 hours looking for poinless collectables then you'll love the game. Otherwise it's a subpar 3rd person shooter with a little environment traversal (much less than the previous games or the Uncharted games) and an extremely predictable supernatural storyline. It's fine, but it's not "great".

What? I was referencing getting these for a $1 last year.

LOL. I just sold 3 of these steelbooks (steelbook only, no game) on eBay for $14.99 a piece.

Sorry about that, you didn't quote anyone and it was right after me talking about numbers. If the steelbook alone is worth $15 then clearly at $15 it's worth it...obviously your net is going to be $9.XX after fees and shipping costs though...

e.e my target is good for nothing. Low stock. Slow cashiers. Items are just torn up all over the place and taped back.. :x red card wasn't worth it in the grand scheme of things.

This is when I got mine. $1 out the door at Target (same with Skylander Giants for 3DS and Wii U). Sadly, Target wised up and won't let you stack anymore.

That's called the "Target Pinch."

Not to be confused with the pinch you feel on your bank account when your info was stolen due to the Target Breach.

I'd pay $60. Matter of fact, I did! This game is so good. Especially with a lot of crap that has come out recently.

I actually borrowed it from a friend shortly after release and it's one of the best games I've played in the last 5-10 years. Was it perfect? No, but it was very fun and very well made. If I had payed 60 at release, I wouldn't have regretted it it all. 20 and under is the deal of the decade.

$15 Fire Emblem Awakening disagrees with you.

I regret paying full $60 for this game. I mean, I'm glad to help the developer and I'd love a sequel, but the game dropped in price so fast that I couldn't help but feel ripped off. 2 months after release, the game was already in the $30 msrp range. That's like if I went to Wal-Mart tomorrow and bought Killzone Shadow Fall or Ass Cred. 4 for the PS4 for $29.99

Yeah, that's a burn for sure. I NEVER buy new games any more unless their Nintendo titles from Newegg where I get a release day discount(as their titles hold value more than anyone's), or any LE title that I think may not be around after release. Sadly, if everyone functioned as we do here on CAG, we would never get any quality titles, as no publishers would ever make any money.

Looking at some ebay auctions, it seems as though the steelbook is DVD-sized. Meaning it was designed with the 360 version in mind and then they just stuck the PS3 editions in the same sized box. If true, the game will never fit on the shelf properly with its PS3 brothers. Kind of a dealbreaker.

It is a G1 (360 case) not a G2 (PS3 Case).
