3DS XL screen vs. 2DS screen

I know the size is different and the resolution is the same, but has anyone compared the quality of the XL screen vs the 2DS?  I have a 2DS right now and the screen is really disappointing and kind of washed out, wondering if the XL looks any better.

No. Xl is a bit more stretched out. I find the 2ds screen to be sharper. I have the Xl, my son has the 2ds. Personally, I would not spend the extra if I already had the 2ds.

I don't know if this will help.  When I played a DS game on my 3DS XL, I noticed the pixels of the game. 

I didn't notice the pixels on my DSLite before. The DS game was Last Window: Secret of Cape West. 

I'm guessing, I wouldn't notice the pixels on a 2DS.  Then again, the 2DS's screens are still signifcantly larger than a DSLite's screens.

I wouldn't spend the extra money on a 3DS XL if you already have a 2DS.  I'm in the opposite situation, where I have a 3DS XL.

I have been considering a 2DS, but I'm waiting it out hoping for a special edition of 2DS.  Maybe a 2DS with an added or refined feature in the future.

I love my 2DS very much. the screen is sharp and crisp and never was a fan of the whole glasses free 3D myself. If you need portability, then yeah a 3DS XL would be ok but if you have a bag, no problem. I don't think you should spend more for tech specs.
