Are you guys happy they fixed these 2 things? There is also another update coming March 4th.

I know I am, I hated paying online and then out of nowhere my damn controller dies. It'll be nice to see how many bars I have now.

Here's the full list of things that got updated

Happy about the improved storage management because that felt like a basic feature that should have been included at launch.

Don't really care about the battery thing, it's nice but I've never had issues worrying about my battery life, although that is probably because I plug my controller in every night.

Overall kind of bummed because I thought there would be a lot more coming, figured more might come in March but it sounds like the party system will be the main take away from that update.

Will be interested to see how the general stabilization updates feel, and if Kinect improves any such.

I'm sure there is more to come.  The biggest annoyance for me was the controller battery.  I would prefer if the light pulsed when the battery got low or something like the spinning on the 360 controller, but I guess an indicator is better than what we have now.

This update or the next one is supposed to change it. I guess right now game updates happen in the background but system updates don't? That's from Microsoft. I'm guessing I missed something because I got the first update automatically. I just had to accept it.

Just got done downloading it. Now that I can see storage space. This 500GB isn't going to work. I have 74.9 GB left, out 500 GB. Two major game installs left at best

I got the new update, too.  It's cool, there were a couple of tiny features that made me say "hey neat!" but yeah, 500 gb is not going to be enough.  Going purely digital is so hella not gonna happen.

And, I can't figure out where to manage my hard drive.  Did you see it anywhere, Koop?

my games and apps. Nicely organized.

This update apparently also fixed the over sharpening filter as well.  When using full RGB there was crazy crushed blacks.  Now if they can fix the 5.1 over optical I'll be a happy camper.

That and finally getting a titanfall code.

You'll just have to uninstall the game you aren't playing to make room of the one you want to play. I already do this with my Steam games but yeah it's kind of a pain. I enjoy having a ton of discs to choose from at times.

Last night I fell asleep on the couch. I woke to the feint sound of my xbone humming. After about a minute it shut back off. Either it was updating or Gates was checking me out in my sox pj's.

why do these next gen systems have so little hard drive space when each game on avg is like 50 gb. I really hope we get support for external drives really soon because with just 6 games installed i have used 50 percent of hard drive. If we have more games like dr3 that has a giant 30 some gb download when you install the game no one will want to uninstall and reinstall when they want to play that game.

Yeah I can see myself investing in a 2-3TB hard drive when external support is available.

Kind of funny how not long ago I was complaining the Wii U had way too little storage space and I didn't want to be spending money for an external drive, but with the way the Xbox One/PS4 have large game installs and updates their hard drives kind of feel like the same space in a way.

Let alone the DLC that will accumulate on the drive as well. I recently saw this difference when I was looking at my hard drive space with Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2 & Mass Effect 3.

I hope they add some features to make it easier to manage content if you go digital. Like if I remove a game, when I reinstall later download the DLC I bought automatically. And don't show installed games, show the games I own and leave Uninstaller games grayed out.

sad thing is it's not just xbox one ps4 users having same issues. With the price of hard drives it's very easy for the companys to have put in at least 1 tb hard drive if not bigger.

That's actually interesting, looking on Newegg I see 1TB Hard drives are around $60, with 500GB ones being around $40. Feels like they should have sprung for the larger sizes given the cost, unless they were getting big deals from companies with the smaller sizes.

Or maybe they just want to have a big reason to get people to buy the newer system models down the road in a few years. Although I guess that doesn't really work with the PS4's exchangeable hard drive.

or possible ms/sony branded external hard drives. Selling point you can take your save files on the go to other ps4/x1's.

Has anyone had issues with Kinect since this update? Starting to think  there's a bug with it, first it started off not signing me in at all, and it's also not been recognizing voice commands well. Just turned my system on to play some Titanfall and the system won't even acknowledge commands, I've even gotten right next to the system to see if it's my range/volume but it doesn't recognize.

Just turned on power saving mode and then pulled the plug to see if that fixes anything.

Try recalibrating it, update might have screwed it up.

Cloud saves, they're already on the go.

Did this update mess up anyone's kinect? I thought I was the only one, but another dude on GAF has the same problem I do. It will not allow me to shut the system off with voice controls any more.

Great to see the sharpening filter gone. Even COD Ghosts looks better, as does AC4, without the "jaggies". Who knows why they put it on there to begin with!

I have been having a ton of issues as I posted before, just turned my Xbox on today and once again it won't register any voice commands.

Wonder if the rest of that space is reserved for future updates, I know most hard drives don't have the full space advertised but I don't think the gap is ever that huge.
