64GB Microsoft Surface Rt - $199

A bit of a necro bump, but MS has these back on eBay. $219 for 64GB, $179 for 32GB with free shipping.  MS Store also has for the same price, but with tax.

I picked up a 64GB, and it even comes with a full one-year warranty.

Thanks for the bump, Sp00ge.  After a lot of thinking I've decided to go with a laptop.  I still think the surface has a lot of awesome features, primarily the inclusion of office on the RT.  It just didn't end up being the right fit for me after I checked it out at Best Buy.

Is this worth it at $180 considering its about 2 years old? I talked myself out of buying it but now I'm looking for an reason/excuse to close the deal.

I like the idea of having a super portable MS office machine. I'd have to spring for the type cover though.
I'm just grabbing a generic bluetooth keyboard/case combo off of Amazon for the time being... at least until there's a sale on the type cover.

I bought a 32gb Rt and the type cover. I already have a 64gb micro sd and a portable mouse. I now have my $249.00 college computer. :)

My 64GB showed up today - been playing with it for a few hours and I love it.  Office + Onedrive alone are going to make it worth it.

Me too, man.  I've been using office 2007 since...2007 and this is a huge step up.  The fact that you can search thousands of layouts is amazing.  I typed in APA and I almost immediately was able to pin the format I use weekly in school.  My type cover hasn't arrived yet but I'm hoping it works well.  In the meantime I've been downloading xbox games and having a blast.

The 64GB version is $209.

After spending $85 on the Nexus 7 and $120 on the Galaxy Tab during the Gamestop pricing glitches, I'm really debating on whether or not I need a third tablet. The price is really good, but maybe I should buy a laptop first. Mine is so old, the hinges broke and the screen fell off and I use a TV as a monitor. =\

I recommned buying the refurb. The one I got was in flawless condition and It was only 179.99 via ebay. Plus you can always buy Micro SD cards for dirt cheap. Also, the touch cover is not for everyone.  I type around 80wpm and the touch cover had me reduced to about 20.  You really have to hammer on it and it doesn't feel great.  If you aren't using it for heavy word processing it's probably fine.

Thanks for the bump Spooge; sent the link to my mother and see bought one (it's at $189.00 right now.)

Sorry for the thread hijack:

I am currently buying a Surface Pro 2 on the MS online store. I see I can enjoy 10% educator's discount (I think it works for students as well), anybody tried this with the shopdiscover CB program or ebates CB?

Edit: I bought the Pro 2 with my educator's discount and eBates link ($809 before tax), will report if I get the eBates CB or not.

It stacks with eBates: educator/student discount, GRADUATION and eBates.

There's a guy selling a PRO 2 128GB on Craigslist for 475. I'm so tempted.
I recommend it, highly.
