Quick question guys, If I buy a used 3ds with digital games on it would I be able to use my own network ID and still be able to keep the games?

Thats what I was afraid of. I bought a Zelda 3DS but the game has already been downloaded to the guys ID that I bought it from.

It is the way all systems are..minus the easy transferring. At least you have a special edition 3DS.

Well hope you got it for less than $150, Target had the Zelda 3DSes for that back on Black Friday, I picked on up.

I got it for 170. All the stores around me were completely out of the Zelda ones by BF

That's not entirely true.

If you get a system that has not had an NNID registered but has digital purchases, you effectively become the owner by putting an NNID on it.

If the system already has one, I believe the games are deleted. However, contact Nintendo and they MAY merge accounts for you. YMMV, of course.
