PS4 Camera in stock at Best Buy

I finally picked up a camera for my PS4 at Best Buy in West Hollywood. They had a bunch of them but they hadn't put them out on the shelves yet. They have been out of stock since launch so I thought a few people might find this of interest.

The woman who sold it to me said it was a national restock for Best Buy. I just called two other Best Buy's near me and they have the camera in stock as well. If it turns out to be YMMV Ill change the post to reflect it.

Others have reported stores were supposed to start getting them back in again by the end of March.

Edit- Just checked and 5 of the 10 closest stores to me have at least 3 in stock even though you still can't order it for store pickup.

This was in stock in 4 of 5 stores in the metro west Boston area.  I brought it because it was new and shiny.  My three year-old went apes*** for the robots; which in a parent's eyes made it all worth it.    I have no idea what else I'll do with with besides collect spores, mold, and fungus.  

I did purchase this with South Park and netted 15% off the camera [15% console accessory with the purchase of any new game]. So there is that...

since this the first time best buy had them in a long time does that mean that this is the new model? cause I believe they discontinued the first model and redesign it that why the delay and that these are supposed to run in 1080p instead of the 720p the first model were in and that most stores should be restocked with the new models this month so this should among the first batches since they were saying before I believe mid to late march restocks for retailers

 
you can play the just dance game with them....and probably other games....and is there seriously a lack of ps4 stuff around or something? I've yet to notice a lack of xbox one or ps4 stuff around.

 
It's funny because I was in best buy today debating which games to snag and I saw guy placing 2 ps4 cameras on the shelf . I had a brief impulse to grab one knowing how limited they've been , but then I thought to myself how useless It would be for me personally and I snapped back to reality .

Source? I haven't seen anything about this alleged upgrade and my understanding is that any camera updates at this point will be software only.

 
Looks like I'll be at BB in the morning when they open.  Probably gonna get flamed for this, but I bought one at launch and never got around to hooking it up and when I saw how rare they were and the price people were paying for them I sold it for $150 on Amazon.  No worries, I plan on keeping it this time.

Unless if Best Buy is in a much better location than Gamestop, I'd go with the Gamestop deal I posted and get $5 off.

Why would anyone flame you? Sounds like a smart move to me. You get to buy the camera again and you're $90 up. Silly that people were impatient enough to pay more than 2x what they cost. They were hard to find for all of like 2 months (I think).

 
Wonder if the stock checker is accurate because it's in stock at all my stores.. You can't add to cart though and says "Place holder - ISPU Sold Out msg". Maybe i'll call, that should be fun.

I'm the exact opposite. When they were in stock I didn't want it but now that they are I kind of do. But I know it wouldn't get any use so I'm just going to pass.
 
Can't believe these jackasses at Gamestop shipped out the camera I ordered.

I tried cancelling right away but there was no option to.  That's fuckin amazing.

I e-mail them right away to cancel and they don't answer.  Instead they ship my stuff around the afternoon today.  Jackasses, really.

 
I think my camera is broken. I keep saying PS4 snap with other voice commands and nothing is happening. Looks like I'll take it back.

Saw it at best buy but passed. I don't see the point of it yet. Kicking robots would be fun for 10 minutes then what? And no I'm not streaming video of myself
 
Picked up second camera for my other ps4 at my local best buy. Used the buy game get 15% of accessory. Picked up rayman ps4 $32, gamers unlocked, $9 off ps4 camera. not too shabby.? Oregon no sales tax, gotta love it.
 
Bummer. Just after I ordered one from Lamestop at the inflated $69.99 price. Oh well. I had a $25 giftcard from doing surveys online which I wasn't going to use on anything else, so it only cost $44.xx after tax and free shipping, but still. :\
