Crunchyroll-Mystery Box of 30 Anime DVD's $30.

These mystery boxes are usually a waste of money. Getting random incomplete singles or sometimes double of the same thing.

I don't have much experience with crunchyroll or with buying anime in general. Are the mystery boxes usually like what Vash stated?

A random person I found on Youtube unboxing a Mystery box. Random singles, sometimes you can get get 5/6 of a set but the one missing is usually the one hardest to find. Pretty much the box is filled with anime dvd singles released from 2001-2008. Again, I personally find it a waste of money, unless you love own random volumes of anime.

Well I bought this once back in 2012 and I knew not to expect full series but I used it as a way to get introduced to different animes I might have never seen. I still think it was worth it but I'm not getting it again because I dont want to risk getting repeats.

I regret buying the one I bought last year....or was it in 2012? Eh......anyways yah just some random individual anime volumes. These were good to buy for the best buy trade to bluray program but since that's ended I wouldn't suggest getting this. I mean I got it for fodder and well I was also intrigued by what Id get......I'm hoping I can just dump my remaining volumes for $1 each at my upcoming garage sale.

I've purchased the mystery box twice and 2 of my friends purchased it once each. We basically received almost the exact same shows. Don't expect to receive any major titles. Most of it is old stuff from pioneer or another defunct anime distributor. The only good news I can give about it is that my last shipment during the fall was fulfilled by rightstuf. Also if any place near takes DVD trades it might be worth it that way.

I went in for this a few years back, must be the 2012 one people are talking about. I don't remember it being $8 shipping, think it came to $32 shipped after Crunchyroll discount+shipping. Anyway, I kept Macross V1,V2,V3, 3 movies, a few volumes that weren't accepted, but the rest traded in for $46 in store credit. So it didn't turn out bad back then, not sure if it'd be worth it now though.

I got quite a bit of stuff out of this last year, but didn't bother this time around.  If you have a local store that takes in trades you can come out like a bandit though if they give you a few bucks per disc like mine did.

Yeah, some they wouldn't accept and some were only $0.50, but it adds up when you start seeing 2, 3, and even $4 per volume. It's now $38 for 30 dvds, or $1.26 each (no tax here).
